Interesting fusion menu. This is their take on the humble carrot cake. What's special is they battered each morsel and dark sauce only came drizzled. They also used sakura ebi and egg floss as a twist.

A surprise find! Here’s an unexpectedly good plate of pasta dish at a local steakhouse — 5-ingredient carbonara made with egg yolks, romano cheese, guanciale [a.k.a. cured pork jowl], pancetta [a.k.a. cured pork belly] & spaghetti. Yums! 😋

It’s finally Friday, so go get some beers to celebrate from @getsome.sg . I stumbled upon their Clementi location after a hard day’s work out on a job site in the wild West of Singapore, and I was stunned to see this beer pub pouring up pints at the void deck of a block of flats. Son of a gun, I wish my block had a craft beer pub on the ground floor too.

Get Some also got some rather decent brewskis on tap and Happy Hour offers till eight pm daily on deck. Pints of Get Some’s own lager & Hofbräu on tap for eight bucks before extra charges? Pints of craft brews from twelve to twenty dollars? Yes please, let me get some more, like this $20++ pint of Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout from @northcoastbrewingcompany.

From what I understand, this is a pretty rare brew, and its rarity is matched by its deliciousness. Just like the real Rasputin, this stout is big and strong, in its eyes a flaming glo-sorry. The stout’s heavy body is smooth and creamy, chock full of the aroma & flavour of extra chocolatey mocha, barley malt & caramel, with a slight hazelnut aroma with every sip. The complexity and weight of each sip certainly helps to hide the punchy 9% alcohol content, but I drank it all and said “I feel fine.”

Managed to get reservation and ordered few dishes such as pizza ($10), fried rice ball ($9), porchetta ($10), parmigiana ($15) & tiramisu ($16).

For the quality, I would say the price is reasonable and really worth it

Always rmb to add egg

The beef patty is surprisingly decent. That's rather high praise from me, for a hawker stall. Quite tender, there's some bite, and good beefiness. However the bread is bad, too dense and dry and that ruins everything even tho the rest of the ingredients were all satisfactory.

Also it's difficult to eat, it's hard to get a bit of everything in one bite cos it's so high

Service: asked the dude what's in a mountain burger and he didn't understand my question. It's as if he expects everyone to know that mountain means double patty??

Pasta too soft but what do you expect from a western hawker stall. More importantly while it's flavourful enough it's way too oily

Lamb chop had too much bite, but flavour was good. Black pepper sauce was very salty

The first bite of the fat cap stunned me w it's flavour. However the rest is more what you would expect. For this price, I have to say this is reasonably palatable alr. Still chewy but at least it's somewhat tender and there's muscle texture. Unfortunately there's also sth like a tendon that's very very chewy

Overall it's decent for what you're paying

Visited Chicken Supremo after watching @eatbooksg chicken chop recommendation video!

Be prepared to wait at least 30mins during meal peak timings! The aunty also warned every customer who wanted to place order that they must “wait patiently” 😂

The chicken chop here is only $5! Large portion of chicken chop, fries, baked bean, salad and bun. I felt that the fries portion was quite little though (but cant complain for the price of $5). Juicy chicken chop!

Also tried the black pepper chicken chop ($5.50), the only diff was the sauce. Black pepper sauce was more savoury!

Love the baked snapper w sambal aioli. Fish was fresh & pair super well w the sauce. However portion abit small. Crabmeat capellini was creamy & had lots of crab meat. Angus burg was huge & juicy, came w lots of curly fries too.
Location was ulu, prolly need a car to get there

Nice food, just don't order the dumplings

They have a section of Italian bakes. This is an almond cookie that's soft inside. The almond whiff was very strong so I'm not a fan.

They have a section of Italian bakes. This is a very crackly and airy biscuit that I assume full of hazelnut because it tasted like Ferrero Rocher lol.
