Classic French haute cuisine isn’t that common in Singapore these days, but @langelus.sg has withstood the test of time, dishing up authentic & fantastic French fare since 1998. How authentic is L’Angelus, you ask? Well, for starters, we had Escargots ($23.50++) served in little individual pots, and Foie Gras Poêlé ($26.50++ for 60 grams).
As for the Foie Gras Poêlé, this cut of foie gras might just be the most perfectly seared piece of liver I’ve ever had. The exterior is seared sublimely and the inside is cooked just enough, taking on a texture akin to slightly softened butter. An incredibly delicious and slightly gamey butter, that is. The hawthorn purée adds some tartness to attempt to balance out the incredible richness of the liver, and the pickled plums add even more balance to the foie gras. Perhaps the most interesting element of this appetiser is the bak kwa sauce, which is sweet and smoky, an interesting and uncommon pairing with foie gras that works unexpectedly well. The little bak kwa bits in the sauce are unfortunately burnt though, and definitely have that burnt bitterness.⠀

Still, with a start this stellar, there’s no way you can lose at L’Angelus.
Tea is not butter even tho I chose 0% sugar. Milk tea is fragrant. Kanten crystal is white pearls.
Green curry doesn’t hv meatballs only sliced meat compared to the green curry noods I ordered at bugis outlet. Prefer the meatballs.
Checked out this place recently, and the food didn’t disappoint. The gyudon was on point—beef slices were super tender, and the sauce was spot-on, soaking into the rice for that perfect bite.
The real star for me, though, was the spicy salmon don. The salmon was fresh, and the creamy, the seaweed topping and seasoning added so much flavour. It felt indulgent but not too heavy—definitely a must-try!
Portions were generous, and everything hit the spot. Solid comfort food that’s worth coming back for.
One of the more delicious Thai boat noodles I have ever had in a while! The noodles were chewy, and the dish was flavourful that tingles all your senses - sweet, spicy, and sour at the same time. So delicious!
Dropped by this cozy izakaya in the CBD for dinner the other night. Ordered a mix of udon, gyudon, and grilled squid, and everything was pretty satisfying. The grilled squid stole the show—it was tender, cooked just right, and had a nice natural sweetness. The gyudon was flavorful and well-made. The udon was decent but unique—thinner and flatter than the usual—best enjoyed with additional sides. Would recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed dinner spot with friends or a casual date night vibe.
We decided one today to head down for lunch and my absolute favourite is the mouth watering Tajima Wagyu Picanh!! Love the flavour and texture. Our attendent was so accomodating to us as well and recommended us wines which suits our tastes that paired well with the food! Overall great experience with really posh interior as well, makes for a good instagrammable spot!
Ordered and claimed my Happy Cup Bundle deal capped at $5, super worth it as the bundle comes with royal oolong milk tea and toppings. The oolong tea mixed with royal milk gave the entire drink a perfect blend.
Visited for lunch on a weekday. Had the heirloom tomatoes and beef short ribs. Flavours meshed well with each other, would visit again!
Tasty lunch! Had the charred asparagus for starters and smoked Hungarian duck leg for mains. The duck was smokey and flavourful, and the meat was tender. I recommend giving this place a try!
Easy fix for a bowl of chirashi. What's funny is that they have a separate pricing menu for those using the Burrple 1 for 1, the prices for it was being jacked up. Strange thou.
Had the Chicken Katsu Curry ($19.80++) and the portion is big. It is quite decent but I think other lunch item they have is better
