Halal Chinese Xinjiang restaurant?! 👀 Head over to Restaurant Aisyah on Arab Street, famed for its handmade pulled noodles and tender braised mutton! #BurppleBeyond members, enjoy 20% off when you order any two noodle dishes.

Must-try: The Spicy Dry Beef Noodles — perfect for spice lovers! These noodles are a steal, especially with leek leaves adding extra flavour and a fiery kick. And don’t miss the Chili Oil Dumplings! These generously filled, thin-skinned dumplings come with your choice of chicken, beef, or mutton.

One of the few Malay stalls you can find at this food centre, with a queue usually forms during lunch time by the CBD workers.

Variety of dieshes to choose from. I ordered the lemak curry chicken with fried egg and okra.

Ordered the beef tataki capellini and the beef was cooked perfectly. It was so tender and easy to eat. The pasta sauce was also a very interesting flavour (similar to green curry). Would come back again to try the other things on their menu

Hard not to feel like this was small and disappointing for the price. Greasy and bland. Plus point was served piping hot. The pastas look huge tho, and interesthat ypu can build your own

Chanced upon this affordable bagel place in CBD. Their Chris Brown bagel comes with kombu butter, hashbrown, sausages and spiced cheese. The bagels were toasted with butter so it was crispy. There wasn't a lot of cheese so it is mainly the the taste of butter. The bagels were nice but very oily. Might consider other options next time.

Located at the heart Tanjong Pagar, Bara Food offers authentic Indonesian grilled rice in the CBD.

There is a variety of grilled rice sets to choose from. Ayam Goreng Serundeng ($14.50) features Javanese style fried chicken topped with a fried spice and herbs, while Bumbu Kemanji ($14.50) comes with stir-fried shredded chicken with lemon basil leaves. The chicken is tender, moist and flavourful. This is absolutely delicious.

Each set also comes with grilled rice, crispy Melinjo crackers, fried tofu and tempeh, and chilli. The biggest surprise has to be the rice that is wrapped in banana leaves and grilled - it is so savoury and fragrant, which reminds me of chicken rice. Even something simple like the fried tofu and tempeh are done very well (aromatic and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside) and everything go really well with the fiery chilli. Love it!

chicken was soooo tender and flavourful and perfectly fried! sambal had a nice kick without being overly spicy.

This place is a bitch to find, it's in icon extension which is off the main road, take note it's not the icon village building.

But the food is legit. Skin has the dry kind of crisp, the kicap Manis is solid. Belachan was flavourful and not overly spicy, marinated shallots had their own character.

The rice though, it's seriously impressive. Damn fragrant from the leaves, almost an in your face kind of intensity, plus it's got a little saltiness and has umami probably from broth. Good enough to eat on it's own

If not for the location, it's a must try

Bravery Chicken Ragu ($18) features a piece of herbed chicken thigh on top of al dente spaghetti tossed with mushroom and roasted vegetables in creamy ragout sauce. The chicken is tender and moist, while the sauce is creamy but not too heavy. Cream pasta is not usually my first choice of pasta but this was enjoyable. The portion is very generous as well. Yums!

Gila Basil seafood & Chicken Rice - Charges 25$ against the offer mentioned in Burple as 1-for-1 17$.
When checked, they said the price has been updated but we cannot see the price updated in burple. 25$ seems to be a lot for 1 plate and they don’t have this item in their menu at all when I wanted to cross check the actual rate.
