High end version of Sushi Tei next door, although lower quality than top Japanese establishments. The izakaya skewers are pretty good, albeit not as big a selection as Shunjuu in Robertson Quay. We had the $38++ set (good value) and the $75++ (plus $16 if you want foie gras) (a bit overpriced). The food is ok, although the truffle essence in the chawanmushi is too overwhelming and the miso soup too salty. Maybe more a 3.5 than a 4 (out of 5).

($8) it's been a while having pepper lunch. I almost stir fried rice until char surface on the rice once again.

This Japanese eatery needs no introduction and our go-to spot for an affordable yet satisfying meal in town. 💯 The grilled fish sets are simply unbeatable — served with a bowl of rice, salad, miso soup, pickles, seasoned seaweed, and hot green tea. 🙌

The star of the show? That grilled fish! Each bite is packed with succulent, meaty flakes and that rich, buttery flavour perfectly balanced with a sweet-salty miso glaze. 😋

Excellent omakase lunch with extremely fresh ingredients and superbly attentive service. Perhaps because the price/quality ratio is good for a Michelin * restaurant, it was mainly a ‘expendable’ venue: the other parties were respectively an ‘account review’ session and an ang moh business lunch, and ours was courtesy of a bank! Never mind, it was still a very good experience!

braved the queue and i can see why it's so popular!! Mero Saikyoyaki ($24.90) was oily, silky soft and buttery

Crispy on the outside and the fats and salmon literally melt in your mouth. Must say I am a convert for this item as I never like fatty fish.

Love the yuzu sherbet here! Very refreshing, sweetness is nicely balanced and there are bits of the yuzu rind in it.

Very fresh and comforting lobster and scallop porridge to warm your soul! Exclusive at Paragon outlet only
