Decided to walk over after completing our railway corridor (north) hike. V chill and can see some ppl riding on horses too. We ordered prawn ball ($18++), chicken ($20++) and seafood aglio olio ($21++). Food was decent but a little ex. Place might close down since turf club is closingβ¦.
The highlight from my dinner is the Bara chirashi. Generous fresh ingredients and only $17.9.
Will prefer more selection of the Yakitori ( a few items sold out when I dine).
πMiyuki Izakaya.
25 Springfield green #01-13
Fresh salmon, swordfish, tuna, scallops, prawns, ikura with marinated sushi rice
Similar to the regular bara chirashi, except with more salmon/swordfish/tuna, and more variety - fresh, succulent scallops and prawns.
Fresh salmon, swordfish, tuna, ikura over marinated sushi rice
The fish were fresh and cut into thicc slices. I usually like swordfish the most and while their swordfish was good, I surprisingly enjoyed the salmon more than usual - it was juicy, smooth and tasty. Their tuna was not bad too. Ikura tasted different, had a bit of the healthy fish oil taste? My bfβs portion tasted like the typical ikura tho so maybe itβs just my portion. The marinated sushi rice was lightly vinegary and plump, pretty nice.
Portions were generous despite the bowl not looking huge. I was v full for this lunch.
What an unexpected find! Nice to know of this izakaya in the north :) I will be back to try other menu items!
Hidden at the corner of Woods Square is the neon-lit, chill Tipsy Panda serving up a fusion of Asian and Western mains and bar bites. Personally, the drinks we had were a little dull and watered down, but they're currently having a promo for 1-for-1 Highballs (u.p. $15) so that's more bang for your buck. Otherwise, the Frosty's Lager ($11) was alright.
Food wise:
- [RECOMMENDED] Wagyu Beef Cubes: THIS WAS SO GOOD!! Bite-sized and so freakin tender, the scorched layer added a touch of smokiness to the lready delicious wagyu, made even better with the sat and the black pepper sauce. This almost brought us to tears.
- Fermented Pork Belly w/ Garlic: Really crisp strips of pork belly with the distinctive whiff of the fermented Beancurd. This was pretty yummy especially with the garlic coriander sauce. Deep fried cloves of garlic accompanies this if you want more garlickyness. Part of the 2 for $22 Tapas.
- Szechuan Mala Karaage: Bite-sized karaage so crispy it's almost like an explosion of mala on tender chicken pops. Part of the 2 for $22 Tapas.
- Lady Wu's Warrior Spicy Wings: Sauce was pretty spicy with a touch of tanginess, but when slathered on the wings the crispiness was gone so wasn't as nice. Part of the 2 for $22 Tapas.
- Crispy Calamari: Reminiscent of Old Chang Kee's Sotong, except meatier and with a more robust marinade. Pretty good with the truffle mayo. Part of the 2 for $22 Tapas.
- Burnt Cheesecake ($12): Soft and almost spongey, not so much to our liking.
Vibes were also great especially with the Live band and there were plenty of audience interactions if you like that. Even on a Thursday night there were a sizeable crowd of both large groups and solo drinkers. Just a great hangout place in the north overall.
πLoaded Fries ($12.90) (7.5/10)
I felt that this was kinda average, there wasnt enough topping to coat all the fries but the serving was pretty generous. Could be more ingredients to sell the loaded aspect, but the price is quite reasonable.
π₯©Angus Ribeye Steak ($29.90) (8.5/10)
This was a little pricey in relation to its size, but nonetheless still a good piece of steak. Its well marinated with garlic bits on top and a side of creamed spinach. I think Iβd prefer the other dishes over this though.
πChicken Cordon Bleu ($23.90) (8.6/10)
First time trying chicken cordon bleu and it was pretty good. The chicken was tender and the ham and cheese rolled within elevated its flavour.
π³Big Brosti ($23.90) (8.8/10)
This comes with rosti, an egg, sausage, pork, bacon and mushrooms, plus a side of sour cream. Suuuper good, the elements are all really crispy and savoury. It is pretty oily but thats to be expected, id love to get this again when Iβm feeling a little indulgent.
Tokyo ($10) πΈ
One sip of this cocktail and you'll feel like you're transported to the vibrant streets of Tokyo. Made with yuzu juice, gin, and soda, this cocktail is a wonderful mixture of sweet and citrusy flavours. Its beautiful neon color is a feast for the eyes and its taste is refreshing, making it a perfect drink to cool off after a long day.

Sour Plummies ($15) π₯
Looking for a unique cocktail to try? Look no further than Sour Plummies! This drink is made from their house-infused sour plum and vodka. It literally tastes like drinking a sour plum drink, but with an alcoholic twist. It's a sweet and sour drink that's surprisingly easy to drink.
