this cake was so yums!!! love the zestyness of the curd and the soft sponge cake. didn’t really like the outer layer which was meringue because i could like the little bits of sugar which was tooo sweet for my liking

I bought this as its name comes with gula melaka. I am a fans of gula melaka.
Soft muffin topped with a sprinkle of coconut shreds.
$3.80 for one.. Worth of buying. I certainly will buy again if I come across cedele

Came early at 7am on 1st April for the crossiant campaign of 7 crossiants. The crossiant original price is $4 and it is the best crossiant I had. The skin is crispy and flaky and the astastic look capture my heart.

Lemon Tart - $8.10

Simple sweet sour lemon filling. The tart was flavourful. Great dessert pick after a heavy meal

Tiong Bahru Bakery

Almond chocolate croissant @ $6++

Nice. Strong almond flavour which we like and good amount of chocolate in the croissant too.

TBB big breakfast @ $25++

Get to choose the types of eggs, and we went for scrambled. Most things on the plate are good, though nothing extraordinary. Price point quite high though.

Pulled pork bun @ $11.80++

Nice and tasty.
The bun looked a bit hard but is surprisingly soft.

Inflation might have hit us hard with Tiong Bahru Bakery’s Kouign Amann costing S$5.50 now, but it was worth the price given its flaky buttery layers, sugary crust and sheer size.

Much might have been said that the flavours resembled that of our local Bom Prata, but when the Kouign Amann was freshly baked, the crispiness would surely be unrivalled.

i can’t believe this is my first kouign amann ($4.50~) experience……but omg it was heavenly!!! the croissant part was crisp, flaky and the sweetness of the ?sugar paired so well with it. it reminds me a bit of the big flat flaky biscuits in french bakeries (iykwim). we also got the almond croissant (~$6) with a sweetened almond paste inside and again the croissant was 🤌🤌 the bakes were waaay more filling than i had expected lol but very happy that it didn’t feel too greasy :-) i recommend sharing these goodies tho bc portions were q big and can get a bit jelat. otherwise service was commendable - the ppl were rly nice :-) my only qualm is that it’s rather pricey.
