Found this bar and the food is pretty okay! Though you can give the stew a miss, the burgers are really not bad. We got the Wasabi Beef Burger ($18.80 1 for 1 with #entertainer) and the burger patty was thick, juicy and very flavourful! The wasabi sauce actually goes well with the burger ingredients, making this a wonderful sloppy mess. The fries are pretty addictive, and taste just like Mcdonald fries.

If you come here with group of friends, I would recommend their kimchi pancake. Super delicious with kimchi and spring onions in each of the slices. Match well with the dipping sauce. $16++

Located at PLQ 3, another building within Paya Lebar Quarter that just across the street from PLQ Mall; you can find this Korean fusion restaurant and bar here.

Most people would come here for beer and drink, but they also served some really good Korean foods here as well.

I wasn’t expecting such a big bowl actually, and they are pretty generous with the portion of Korean Noodles. Within the kimchi broth, there’s lots of pork belly, tofu, clams and egg.

You also can opt for king prawn instead of pork belly. $16++

Paired my sake with a plethora of skewers. Carb options available eg sakura capellini & crab meat fried rice (preferred the latter). Was satisfying!

There was a v young waiter that was super friendly, didn't get his name but thank you for your good service.. It uplifted our moods despite the impending doom of CB2.

Overall a pleasant experience, shall seek to return after we can dine in again.

Hibiki Sake Bar & Dine's happy hour runs from 5-7:30PM, during which you get double the usual portion for the price, but served in a single glass. These were so refreshing in the humidity & heat.

We did order a 2nd round of sake at 19:22hrs, however we were told we had to finish the drinks on our table first. That was fine - we asked our waitress if she'd return before happy hour ended at 19:30. She said ok, but she didn't. & that was how we lost our 2nd round of drinks, just like that.

The broth was very flavourful and full of ingredients. Prawns and clams were also fresh. The seafood taste in the broth added a refreshing change from the usual kimchi stews I have had, loved it!

Had the prawn mentaiko pasta, plus the cauliflower side and the ribs. We went there wanting to utilise the Burpple deal but were told that all the mains we wanted were excluded from the deal. A bit of a downer, seeing as there aren’t many dishes on the mains and pasta list to begin with.

Nonetheless the food was still good and worth a try - hopefully it’ll be included in the Burpple deal next time though

We utilised the 1for1 and the Waitress didn’t sound happy about that, then abruptly told us to cancel our Chope reservation so they wouldn’t be charged. Not a request and no “please” or “thank you”. We didn’t feel good dining there tbh and decided we wouldn’t come back before even having tried the food.

Do take note their menu is different from the one listed on Burpple, some items have been taken off or replaced. We left with our food half eaten but I shan’t comment further since our tastebuds could already have been skewed by the not very pleasant experience.

Visited Chug Chug at PLQ3.
Tried the below dishes and arranged in accordance of my preference:

💫 King prawn tom yum pasta ($24+): this was quite a highly recommended dish based on reviews I read. Creamy tomyum sauce that was slightly spicy w 2 king prawns and 2-3 slices of squid. Not alot of ingredients I must say.
💫 Kimchi buttermilk chicken burger ($18+): the kimchi taste in the chicken burger patty wasn't v pronounced though the patty was quite well marinated. a huge slab of chicken patty was given, enough for sharing among 5 pax! The fries were just like MacDonald fries and too fried for me.
💫 Ginseng chicken stew ($16+): who doesn't love ginseng chicken stew! And for this price, I thought it was quite worth it! The ginseng soup wasn't over powering too so I like! One chicken drumstick given for this.
💫 Soy garlic fried chicken ($16+): 8 pieces of winglets given! The plate was filled with the honey sauce for us to lick up with the winglets! Crispy chicken wings. Recommended!
💫 Jjajangmyeon ($12.9+): chewy potato noodles with mushrooms and pork slices! But the sauce was slightly sweet
💫 Bean paste stew ($16+): this stew came with a section of a flower crab and a few clams. My least recommended dish because it is so troublesome to eat a flower crab outside home 🤣

chaota pork belly was gooood!! however recommended to order 1 portion to share between 2 people otherwise it might become too jelak😬 we ordered carbonara and pork belly to share, the carbonara isn’t very flavorful but helps to offset the richness of the pork belly😋 beef cubes were good, but tbh felt the serving wasn’t worth the price point ($16 for about 10 cubes or so?)

service was impeccable though and servers were rly friendly!! would defo be back again for the pork belly hehe might even try the lemongrass one next time😋

Catch of the Day ($18 before GST) - pan seared fish with house special sauce and fermented yuzu chilli on the side. Fish was nice and tender, sauce was sweet and creamy. The chilli came in such a tiny dot on the plate that I almost missed it out - but it was strong and flavourful, a pity that I couldn’t taste the Yuzu in it.

My folks and I loved the Lemongrass Pork Belly ($22) - the pork belly was grilled to perfection, and went very well with the sauce. The Watermelon Salad was a refreshing accompaniment. A great deal with Burpple 1-for-1. Service was good as well.
Only thing I didn’t like was that the water here is $0.50 and non-refillable, but it’s not a huge issue.
