A Vietnamese take on our local fried noodles cooked with sliced pork belly, vegetables, carrot, onion and a pinch of black pepper that gives a simple and homely taste/flavour 》$9.90

Served with grilled pork slices over a plate of white rice noodles and herbs with a side dish of dipping sauce.

The taste of meaty and slightly fatty grilled pork along with the flavours of fresh vegetables, crunchy spring rolls mixed with sweet and sour dipping sauce and rice vermicelli create a stunning harmony of taste in my mouth 》$9.90

With many mid tier udon places popping up, tamoya udon is still one of my favourite mid tier udon spots in Singapore.

Got the chance to try their black garlic tonkatsu udon, and loved it —- gobbled it down really quick.
Managed to get 30% off which made the price reasonable.

The Kacang Pool from Kacang Pool Mustafa in Geylang Serai offers a delightful culinary experience.
The dish features flavourful broad beans perfectly complemented by the richness of a fried egg, the sharpness of diced red onions, and the fresh kick of green chili.
Squeezing lime over the top adds a zesty twist that enhances all the flavours.
Paired with a thick baguette for dipping and dunking, this meal is both satisfying and deliciously balanced.
A must-try for those who enjoy bold and hearty dishes!

There was a anniversary promo for 30% off all mains so we ordered 3 bowls for 2 ppl 🫣
The beef Sanuki udon is nice as usual, the curry udon is good too.
The trio egg udon was interesting. But wouldn’t order that again.
I love that they have a small condiment bar so you can take more seaweed and condiments to your liking.
Will be back for more udon

By 2pm they were only left w 3 kinds of soup, and sometimes they sell out of everything by 3pm so don't take your chances

The soup is clean tasting, pretty decent but nowhere as sick as their other things

Super tender slippery ckn, with the best most tender black fungus I've had.

Very well executed comfort dish. If you had to choose id say the threadfin is more rare, but I doubt I've had a better version of this as well

The portion looks big in pictures but one person can comfortably demolish a ckn or a fish(less comfortably), given how good it is

Gotta admit there's some serious skill, because it's seemingly simple ingredients but this tastes different from most renditions of a simple soy sauce steam

The slightly gelatinous fish belly was very tender and somehow things just worked well. Must be some Marriott magic

Very good, although not mind-blowing so temper your expectations

Excellent. There's this wok hei, plus the texture is great too and the sauce was fine as well

Their timings are absolutely painful but they are one of those places that live up to the hype, and more than make it worth the travel.

This is the best version of this dish I've had. Super tender, still with some bounce, and absolutely punchy salted fish.

I'm so annoyed w weak salted fish dishes, why would anyone order salted fish if they expected it to be weak. This version is so in your face that it's refreshing, and the secret is in the sauce that contains salted fish, not your normal soy sauce

Must try

Putu Piring ($2.50 for 4) from Haig Road Putu Piring - now this is a famous one, and I couldn't leave the food centre without having it! Indeed this was probably the best Putu Piring I've had. The flour and gula melaka used was somehow different, it was much more aromatic than others that I've had before. A sweet treat to end the meal! 😍

Pork and Chicken Satay ($0.80 each) from Mei Mei Satay - the satay meat was pretty sizeable! I loved the marinade used; it was well charred and it made the meat quite tender, even for the pork version. The satay sauce unfortunately isn't peanut-y enough, but it was fine for me as the pineapple juice helped cut the meatiness of satay!
