Count on the Mixed Tendon ($15.90) for a satisfying don dinner! The portion's generous, and the seafood and vegetables are beautifully battered and deep-fried, not to mention well-seasoned with an umami, bonito fragrance. For something other than tempura, they also turn out tasty Chirashi Don ($18.80) and Gyu Don ($16.80).

What we enjoy most about the burgers are those toasted brioche buns — so soft and fluffy! Go for the Darkwing Duck Burger ($18) with smoked duck, rosti and hoisin sauce.

Grab a quick, well-rounded lunch at Bugis Junction's resident bao joint. The Masala Chicken Bao ($3.90) featuring tender, masala-marinated pulled chicken is a clear winner, but get also the Pulled Pork Bao ($3.90) with tangy gochujang dressing. If the baos don't do it, there's always a line of very tasty Rice Bowls (from $7.90) to fill up on.
