You may have known about Mr Mookata on the news for bringing Thai hunks over to Singapore last year at Bugis, but failed this year when they try to bring them back for the opening of their latest outlet at Phoenix Park along Tanglin Road. But they are still famous for having hunk appearance to serve you at this new outlet.
I have to acknowledge that the location is not easy to access, which required you to take a bus from nearest MRT station to reach here.
Only a few tables was occupied on Friday evening when we were here to enjoy their buffet.
For only $32.9++ per adult on weekends, you can enjoy all the dishes unlimited but only for maximum 90 mins dining time. Of course please do not waste food or they will charge for additional wastage.
Drinks except milk tea also included with unlimited refilling.
Perfect for any occasions such as birthday celebration. They even have some special service and interaction with the hunks, such as singing birthday song to you.
Tasty seasoning. Price is abit expensive for each meat, so it will be more worth it if you order Seasoned meat instead of cheese tofu or vegetables. Had a great time eating!

The Thai grilled pork skewers are bursting with bold and tangy flavors.
A mouthwatering dish that will leave you wanting more.
Popular mookata place with multiple locations around SG. I had a platter for two that includes marinated chicken thigh, marinated pork collar, marinated pork belly, smoked duck, prawn, scallop, squid, fishball, crab stick, Chinese cabbage, xiao bai chye, sweet corn, enoki and egg. Ala-carte items start from $1.90/plate and we got an add-on for a garlic pork collar.
The meats are well marinated and delicious - look plain but are very flavourful! It goes very well with their Thai chilli sauce with a mix of sweet and spicy flavours. I love that they deshell the prawns, leaving just the head and tail. Prices are very reasonable (no GST & service charge) with a wide range of options to choose from. The set is value for money and the best option for first-timers and those who want variety.
Platter for Two γ$25
Garlic Pork Collar γ$2.20
Portion was big, the chicken was marinated well and delicious but there were worms in the vegetables. Stomach ache immediately after. Do not recommend.
Located in the heartlands of Bedok, Oh Ho! Mookata is a coffeeshop stall specialising in halal Thai BBQ steamboat. Not only is the chilli dipping sauce good, the quality of meats and seafood will make you not miss pork at all. A set for 2-3 pax is priced affordably at $36 and you can also add on the opening promotion of Japanese wagyu at $1 per slice. The $36 set comes with marinated chicken, sliced beef, smoked duck and a variety of seafood. You can even add a side of cheese dip for the ultimate indulgence.
Halal Thai BBQ mookata concept at a spacious and clean Bedok coffee shop. Good value for quality tender and well-marinated meat.
The $36 set is good for 3 pax and comes with a whole variety of items. Favourites were the fragrant smoked duck breast, QQ squid slices, and tender marinated chicken. Finish off with mama noodles and Thai vermicelli in sour tom yum soup. Only gripe was the tough thinly sliced beef round.
They also offer alacarte cheese dip ($3.60), great with meat and sausage, well-marbled Japanese wagyu (β οΈ $1/slice promo price), Argentina angus striploin ($7.60) and Australian chuck eye roll ($6.60).
Their homemade chili dipping sauce was mildly spicy with an addictive sweet and tangy balance and sesame seeds.

when the platter first came ($36), i thought it was going to be too little but they were actually pretty generous with the meat! the prawns were large and the beef + chicken were substantial. they offered different soup bases (chicken or tomyum) at no added cost too. the soup was perfectly sour and spicy, although it was pretty salty. would recommend having some water to dilute the soup maybe. variety is great too. after discount - $25.20, can truly feed 2-3pax comfortably. location is just a little inconvenient, ~5 mins walk from bedok mrt. staff v friendly & trusting, only pay after you're done. recommend!
In the mood for Mookata? Swing by Oh Ho Mookata Thai and grab a bunch of their finest ingredients! These include meat & seafood items such as the Argentina Angus Striploin ($7.60), Big Prawns ($5.60 for 2pc), and Marinated Chicken Leg ($3.60), as well as vegetables & sides like the Enoki Mushroom ($2.60) and the Mama Tom Yam Noodles ($1).
Saw so many people having this mama hotpot and I was so happy I had this!
The mama hotpot for 2 pax ($23) came generous with many ingredients such as large prawns, squid and mussels. All seafood ingredients were fresh and we especially loved the prawns as they were so plump and juicy!
The soup is notable as well due to its robust and rich profile while being not really spicy. I can imagine this being really lovely in a rainy weather, slurping all noodles together with it! The runny egg yolk with the noodles just makes it even better π
Definitely coming back to have this again π
Stir-fry lala bee hoon with an abundance of clams, white pepper and coriander. This was supposedly one of their popular items on the menu. The bee hoon soaks up the flavours of clam with peppery spice lingering between the gravy and bee hoon. Although the gravy is taste on its own, the taste of pepper overpowers the other flavours in this dish and the natural sweetness of clam was somehow missing somewhere γ$18
One of the best mookatas I had.
The soup here actually taste really good (I donβt feel like Iβm drinking salt water) and the meats are fresh and well marinated!
Even the quill egg was fresh.
This mookata is guilty pleasure without the guilt.
Highly recommend!
