Established in September 2008, this place was recommended by a colleague-influencer when our office was nearby, and I've been returning since then.
.
Their rendition has a mild orange visual, with soft yellow noodles tossed with crunchy cabbage, tender beef slices, wispy chicken egg, and crisp green chili. Topped with juicy cucumber slices and a wobbly fried sunny-side-up egg.
.
Has lovely smoky grainy salty meaty savoury eggy sweet spice flavour, a straightforward rendition.

Tahu Bagedil (S$12+/ 10 pieces)
Served with Kecap Manis sauce.
Each piece was shaped like a ball, at least the size of a tennis ball. Huge! Thin crispy battered, the bean curd puff was stuffed with mashed potato. Dip into the spicy dark sauce before eating. Super shiok!

Visited the restaurant at night where only steamboat was available. During lunchtime, the restaurant offered cooked dishes such as briyani and lontong. The restaurant also offer complimentary Bubur on Friday.

Selected tom yum as choice of broth which was spicy and flavourful. Don’t forget dip the items in the tangy green chilli sauce or the savoury sambal.

Addon the following:
Premium Smoked Duck (S$4.90+)
Scallops (S$4.90+/ 4 pieces)
Cheese Sausage (S$3+/ 8 pieces)
Cheese Tofu (S$3+/ 4 pieces)
Chicken Cheese Ball (S$3+)
Instant Noodle (S$1.50+)

Accompanied with Singapore Island (S$3.50+) which was a mixture of fruit punch and soda. And Teh O Limau Ice (S$2.50+) which was iced tea with lime.
Ended the meal with Suji (S$1+/ small) which tasted like a nutty custard.

if you prefer less sweet sambal and a runny yolk, the nasi lemak ($4.50) here is the one for u! both fried chicken and coconut rice are comparable

[Changi Village, Singapore πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬]

Set 5 (S$6)
Coconut flavoured coconut topped with fried chicken wing, otah, fried egg, bagedil, ikan bilis, sambal.
Interesting there’s lots of crispy bits in the ikan bilis.

The Superdry Laksa is definitely not what I had imagined it to be in the likes of nyonya and assam laksa. Not only does it use rice vermicelli, there was also no coconut in it. This savoury noodle dish was aromatic from the spices and herbs, and a subtle hint of sourness and spiciness. It came with Sarawak belacan that packed a heaty punch of flavour.

i liked that basmati rice was used!! makes this nasi lemak a little more unique. chicken was crispy and juicy too. but the sambal was sooo sweet literally 0 spice which is q a disappointment

[Tampines, Singapore πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬]

Nasi Rawan (S$5.80)
Sambal sotong (squid in spicy gravy), paru (beef lung), begedil (potato patty), serunding (spiced grated coconut), sambal belacan, Tempe

I tried the durian and the red bean versions. The latter was good in a normal way (or normal in a good way?). The durian used was lousy sia. It tasted like those durian lempok.

From Juliecious’ Kitchen
We recently had the pleasure of trying Mee Siam for breakfast, and it was an absolute delight.
Priced at just $4, this dish offers incredible value for money.
The tangy and slightly spicy gravy was perfectly balanced, complementing the thin rice vermicelli noodles beautifully.
Topped with chopped spring onion, boiled egg, and tofu puffs, each bite was a burst of flavour.
Overall, this Mee Siam is a fantastic option if you're looking for a tasty yet affordable breakfast.
Highly recommended!

The most important component here is the fluffy rice which is suffused with coconut-y flavour, and this went magnificently well with the sweet and spicy sambal. I also appreciated the freshly fried ikan bilis. The chicken wing was nice enough, but nothing out of the ordinary.
