Segar Restaurant is a popular Halal Chinese tze char place you can find at the basement of Chinatown Point.
It is full house when we came on weekday lunch time, and they have set menu that cater to 5 pax to enjoy.
This steamed fish is one of the item on the set menu and I would say very worth it for the portion.
Hard not to feel like this was small and disappointing for the price. Greasy and bland. Plus point was served piping hot. The pastas look huge tho, and interesthat ypu can build your own
Lunch special for 2 @ $22.90 q worth can choose between 2 mains (curry/butter chicken briyani/prata set) and 2 drinks (teh/coffee/lime juice). Prata set comes with 2 plain pratas. Would want to try the curry chicken next time as it is one huge drumstick. The butter chicken is a few pieces of chicken.
Went to Tiffany Cafe recently and had their Lunch Buffet ($42++ per pax)!๐ Quite a good spread of food ranging from salad, cooked asian delights, chilled seafood, and there's even a laksa station๐คช Desserts were mainly cakes (e.g. choco, red velvet, oreo cheese cake etc) but there are fruits and free flow drinks too!
Overall ratings 6.5/10! Food is okay, but nothing thats 'mindblowing'๐ ! I would recommend their roast beef and their Ayam Masak Merah (Chicken)๐
This bowl of mala beef noodles is truly comfort food, the soup has flavour and it isn't laden with chilli oil. The slices of beef were tender too!
For those who still remember the defunct Kure Menya, you can now continue to enjoy their signature collagen broth in their new concept store here in Chinatown Point.
I still enjoy much of its collagen broth, creamy and tasty. Comes with few pieces of prawn dumplings on the top of the noodle.
Add $3 for a side dish and drink.
Went to Tiffany Cafe yesterday and had their Dinner Buffet with Eatigo (30% off 7:30pm)๐คฃ Total was $70 for 2 pax after GST and Service charge and Eatigo is really worth it guys!!๐ Had to try most of their items and selection was pretty decent๐ Had seafood items as well such as Chilli Crab or Cold Prawns/Clams/Mussels!! I really enjoyed the Salmon Sashimi and the Laksa๐๐ฏ
Overall ratings 8/10 as some items were good but some items were pretty average๐
Did not like the collagen broth. Gave a good amount of toppings but a normal bowl of noodles overall
Relatively new stall serving simple fare and handmade dumplings at affordable prices. Itโs a single-man show and limited seats are available in the small space.
๐๐ข๐๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ ($6.50) - Chicken dumplings in a flavourful chili oil sauce. Enjoyed the slight tang but would have preferred punchier spice.
๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ ($8.90) - Creamy collagen soup that was light on the palette while remaining flavourful, similar to the ramen broth used at their main @kuremenya. Made for a comforting meal in the rainy weather. The thick beehoon was a tad soft for our liking. We chose to complete our meal (+$3) with a choice of dumplings (boiled/ pan-fried/ deep-fried) and a can drink (iced lemon tea/ honey lemon).
For dumplings: we preferred the chicken over prawn dumplings as the former was a more flavourful mix of minced meat and chives while the later was a single fresh prawn wrapped in dumpling skin. The boiled rendition (in the soup) was tender but do eat it quick as it can get a tad too soft from soaking in the soup. The pan-fried option had a nice char but the skin was a tad tough.

Chicken Dumplings in Collagen Broth ($8.90)
You can pick their prawn/ chicken dumplings noodles instead for the same price, which I'd recommend trying too! The chicken dumpling is essentially the same ones used for their Sichuan Spicy Dumplings, which were already flavourful without any sauce!

Spotted this newly open store @dumprince.sg at Chinatown Point basement just opposite A-One Claypot, and decided to try it for lunch - TL;DR really worth a try if you're around the area!!
Meatball Collagen Broth Noodles ($8.90)
You can decide to get clear soup for $5.50 instead, but honestly no regrets topping up for the collagen broth, which is boiled for 8 hours a day, resulting in this creamy and hearty broth you see here! The noodles texture could be slightly firmer, but the broth was the star here. Really rich broth that low-key reminds of ramen broth, and altho it MAY get a little jelak for some, I happily finished mine. The ingredients were fresh, and was also surprised that even the meatball was flavourful, so I thoroughly enjoyed this comforting food.
Sichuan Spicy Dumplings ($6.50 for 6)
Definitely not the crazy sinful kind you'd get from Chinese restaurants, but it's just simple chilli oil flavouring for their already flavourful and well-packed, juicy dumplings!
