Hawker food / local eats 😍
I usually go to the other laksa stall at Queensway but this opens earlier and satisfies my craving just as well. Small laksa with ham $6 and curry chick with bread/rice $5.50 not sure if the bread was fresh but curry was good and overall good for sharing for 2 pax.
My absolute fav Ipoh hor fun with herbal taste and they’re known for their fried fish dumpling. I always order 02. Shredded chicken hor fun with fried fish dumpling and crab meat. Be prepared to queue during lunch time as it’s v popz. I saw their price increase from $4.50 back in interim market to $5 and now $5.50….. but will still come back cuz it’s vvv yummy 🤤 must try!!!
$6.50 Ayam penyet fried to perfection. Chicken is soft and tender and skin is crispy. Self service crispy bits were so good, I wish I took more 🤣 chilli acts a kick as well. V satisfying meal
$8.50 for a bowl of dry chilli ban mian. Not the cheapest but super shiok and chilli is self service at the table so you can add the amount you want. My guy colleagues were saying the portion is a little small for them hence might be suitable to order 3 bowls for 2 guys to share. V popular still and expect a queue during weekdays lunch.
Lunch special for 2 @ $22.90 q worth can choose between 2 mains (curry/butter chicken briyani/prata set) and 2 drinks (teh/coffee/lime juice). Prata set comes with 2 plain pratas. Would want to try the curry chicken next time as it is one huge drumstick. The butter chicken is a few pieces of chicken.
$4.50 for mix black and white carrot cake
When asked if want to add chilli, I didn’t expect it to be curry powder which makes it unique.
As a black carrot cake lover, very much prefer the black version but the option of yuan yang is good for people who are indecisive or want to have both.
Can try if you’re in the area
Ordered one egg prata $2.10 and chicken murtabak $8 but couldn’t taste much chicken. Fish curry and sugar always pair well with prata. Liked the prata more than the murtabak.
New addition to the mall I think but it’s in a v secluded area so I didn’t realise but wow the Ipoh hor fun is really good! It’s hard to find Ipoh hor fun in sg and the sauce is sweet yet savoury. I ordered dry Ipoh hor fun with steamed chicken $11.90 ++ and will definitely come back if I have cravings again
Was trying to find the Ayam penyet store that my colleague brought me before but I couldn’t and we decided to try this instead. Chicken was ok but a little small and wished that there was some sauce on the rice so the meal won’t be so dry. It wasn’t super crowded but we had to wait 20 mins for our food which was too long. Meal was $8.90
Herbal bkt is so hard to find in sg but this is the absolute one that my fam always goes to. The queue can be q long because almost everyone in the hawker centre is ordering this!!
Spent around $22.40 total for 2 pax
- herbal pork ribs bkt for 2 (the quality of meat is good and you can ask for extra soup as well)
- braised pork trotters
- youtiao (sadly it’s soggy…)
- mee sua / rice
Highly recommended and always perfect for rainy days 😍
Was enticed by this when I saw a group of people carrying the plates as it looks huge and nice 😋
$8.50 for pork collar hor fun which is one of the more affordable options
Taste decent albeit a little too salty. Love the crispy hor fun bits as it adds dimension to the food

$3 only! But portion might be small so can choose to add noodles / other ingredients. Very decent laksa as the gravy is light and not too heavy / jelat.
Queued for around 15 mins during weekday lunch.
Saw other people ordering ngoh Hiang from the other stall to go with their laksa.
