I think my last visit to Pepper Lunch was already many years ago. So today decided to drop by their AMK outlet to grab my lunch with their latest offering, the cheesy omelette.

The rice is covered with stack of cheesy omelette, then pour the tomato sauce while the plate still piping hot. Mix everything and enjoy.

This western food stall located in the coffee shop beside the market here, serving more than 30 items to choose from.

If you can’t decide which meat to go with, get their mixed grilled combo that comes with German sausage, pork chop and chicken chop; together with mashed potatoes and salad.

You can choose either to go with the fries or pasta.

The meats are perfect with the black pepper sauce, tender and juicy.

I opted for pasta instead of fries. The mashed potato was ok. The pasta was quite dry. The chicken chop was tender and skin was grilled till crisp. The handmade mushroom soup($3) was lumpy and taste weird. Overall, only the chicken chop was nice.

No GST.

Ribeye Steak comes with house salad & a side of your choice.

Steak was cooked to the perfect medium. The steak was flavourful, tender and has a favourable fat ratio. The ribeye is definitely my favourite part of the cow.

Brown sauce was rather meh thought, would be better with black pepper sauce, or some cream-base house sauce.

We also tried two burgers. The 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 ($16.90) fared better as the slab of chicken thigh was succulent. The 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 ($17.90) was good, but not great, although the caramelised onions did make it more enjoyable. The shoestring fries that came with the burgers were addictively crispy.

Overall a pretty decent meal and I wouldn't mind returning to @embercharcoalgrill to try its other grilled items.

Ember Charcoal Grill specialises in grilled meats using binchotan charcoal. There were also a few Burpple deals available, such as 1-for-1 House Brew and 1-for-1 Croffle. But since we ordered three main courses, the 30% Off Total Bill deal was the most value-for-money.

The 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀-𝗳𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗻 ($25.90) was the star attraction on the menu. It came with a choice of two sides and a sauce. Even though the steak looked the part, with a beautiful pink centre, it was slightly overcooked and was tougher than expected. However the sides were sublime, while the Miso Kombu Butter added a depth of flavours. The Grilled Broccoli, with its crispy edges, was particularly praiseworthy.

This was a surprise to me as I didn’t order it. But they found out this month was my birthday from my reservation on Chope.

A complimentary home-made basic waffle in half, served with summer fruits and maple syrup.

I definitely love the soft texture of the waffle, paired with the sweetness from the fruits and syrup.

Another good spot for some steak in the neighbourhood of Ang Mo Kio.

I definitely would recommend their striploin in black pepper sauce, accompanied with coleslaw and shoestring fries.

Gotten the medium cooked, chewy texture in every bites of the meat.

It’s a hidden gem in the heart of Ang Mo Kio HDBs. Thanks to Burpple! Their Silverfern Grass-fed Striploin steak ($25.90) is flavourful and affordable which come with 2 side dish (i had butter spinach and fries). Fish and chips ($17.90) is crispy and fresh. Strawberry rush spritzer ($4.90) added a glitz. Their Ember Signature Classic Waffle ($9.90) is a must try too, not too sweet and nicely crisped. The restaurant is fullhouse but the staffs are apologetic & friendly and really tried their best to attend to their costumer’s needs. Good service and good food!

Found this hidden gem opposite Bishan-AMK park thanks to Burpple! A small cafe beside a bright coffeeshop, I hesitated whether to go in because it looked a bit dark. But I'm glad I did! The food really impressed me. We ordered the fish & chips and the grass-fed beef flat iron with borderlaise ($23.90) and I found both done better than most cafes. It was a very satisfying meal! The waffle that the next table ordered also smelled great and something I would try the next time. Will be back and since they are on Burpple Beyond, give them a try!

Applewood smoked ribs served with in house BBQ sauce. Comes with a house salad and one side.

SteakGrill uses the slow cooking method to cook their meats in order to ensure every bite is absolutely delectable, perfectly cooked and juicy.

The ribs are smoked well and tenderly done with a good combination of fatty and lean meat that goes well with the bbq sauce. The creamy and cheesy mac and cheese are served warm that come in a good portion as well 》$16

They can get really crowded during peak hours so do remember to make a reservation to secure a table and avoid disappointment before heading down.
