Best Steaks in Singapore
Recently awarded a Michelin star, this Australian barbecue restaurant is famous for its highly raved Onglet ($26/100g). Charcoal-grilled to a beautifully pink, succulent bite, the hangar steak is served on a bed of robust burnt onion sauce and topped with pearls of creamy bone marrow – truly decadence at its best.

For a value-for-money steak lunch, look to this Argentinian restaurant along Amoy Street. Dish offerings on the Prix Fixe Menu (from $32 for two courses) change on a weekly basis, but we're glad that their ribeye steak remains a mainstay. Expect stupendously tender Argentinian beef served with a tasty chimichurri sauce, and to leave with a smile on your face.

You know you'll be in good hands at this Marina Bay spot. Swing by at lunchtime for the Grilled USDA Prime Sirloin Steak ($62) – think lean cuts cooked to a juicy and moist middle while retaining a good bite. This one's served with classic bernaise sauce.

Located at The Heeren, this alfresco joint is the perfect date night spot in town. Dive straight for the Burpple Beyond deal that gets you 1-for-1 Entrecote Steak ($34.90) — lean yet tender sirloin slices smothered in a tangy, creamy chicken liver sauce. Make sure to mop up all that scrumptious sauce with the side of free-flow shoestring fries.

If you're looking for rustic food in a laidback ambience, make a beeline for this Italian steakhouse. The signature Bistecca Alla Fiorentina ($188) consists of a 1.1kg slab of Australian wagyu cooked over a wood-fired grill. The result? Deliciously charred, smoky crust and well-marbled, juicy centre that's bound to satisfy two to three beef-loving diners.

One of the star dishes at this diner along Thomson Road is the Break-Up Steak ($42.90); its name connotes that the steak is good enough to replace a partner after a break up. Though we can't speak for that, we do know you can expect 250g of hearty ribeye cooked to tender and juicy perfection, complete with a smoky crust derived from their secret housemade rub.

Mark this cosy 10-seater joint down for a pocket-friendly steakhouse experience. We recommend going for the Burpple-Exclusive 7 Course Set Menu ($78, includes appetiser, main and dessert). The star of the show is that tender and juicy Wagyu Tri Tip, grilled to a perfect, smoky char. Not in the mood for a multi-course meal? Then go for the Short Rib Steak ($25), featuring stellar marbling and a decadent mouthfeel.

Owner of E18hteen Chefs, Benny Se Teo, strikes again with this halal grillhouse concept in Tampines. Burppler Muriel AvdH suggests zooming in on the steaks for the best experience here. We recommend the Striploin Steak ($45 for 200g) – think spot-on medium rare and tender wagyu beef, which comes with a mini dinner roll and choice of sauce (garlic, mushroom and black pepper).
