From the Burpple community

This series is inspired mostly from #chubu and this particular one is vegan.
I like beancurd, beancurd skin and soy milk, and this soup has all of them! It is light and nourishing.
Thanks @souperchefanna for the invitation!

The three soups are available in stores today, really suitable for the cold rainy weather. Out of the 3, my favourite would be the Beef with Imoni Nabe! Imoni mean taro balls that was inspired from the Jiu Fen Taro Balls. However, to me, it tasted more like abacus seeds especially with the addition of spring onions! It goes really well with the thick nabe soup that felt more like gravy for the taro balls ๐Ÿ˜‹#TSSTasteJapan

Grilled Corn Chowder Champon Style
Inspired by Nagasaki Champon ramen.
My favourite with the chunky corn in it. Sweet, savoury and creamy with a hint of spicy.
~
Hikado (Portuguese - Japanese Chicken Stew)
Inspired by Hikado, fusion soup originating from Portugese picado
Didn't know why, but this soup smelt the most fishy to me.
~
Barramundi Miso Arajiru
Inspired by Arajiru, a miso soup made with fish head and bones.

1. If you love singaporean style food, aka laksa and 2. If you love fish. I fall into both categories, hence this was the sure winner for me. Dear Soup Spoon, are you listening to this, please keep this on the regular menu. Thank you! The soup itself provided a fragrant aroma that carried the scent of all the ingredients! The fish itself was so soft and tender. Everything in this soup was edible with just a spoon.

And my favourite for the night.

Mocofava is originally a Brazilian dish made from boiling cow's feet. But The Soup Spoon has made an adapted version from Chicken instead.

A pretty good soup made from chicken collagen stock, beans, chicken sausages and a long list of healthy ingredients then topped with a beautiful soft boiled egg. A homely soup that's not salty and enjoyable though not outstanding.
