Happy to try this Indian buffet by Michelin-starred chef Manjunath Mural. Here's Lucknowi chicken biryani, Lucknowi subz biryani, haryali fish tikka, chicken kesar kebab and Kerala prawn curry. He has to get biryani right and I'm happy to report it's so yummy. Both the tandoori meats were smoky and juicy. The prawns used were also good quality.

Happy to try this Indian buffet by Michelin-starred chef Manjunath Mural. Here's garlic naan, butter naan, Punjabi samosa, paneer takatak masala and banarasi subz korma. I loved the banarasi subz korma, which was like cream curry with asparagus, carrot, broccoli and cauliflower. The samosa's crust was really crispy and fragrant. For naan, you can order them hot from the oven.

I tried their Briyani on a Sunday. Did not had to wait for too long as there was a small queue around 11.30am. The cost was around $8 each for the mutton and chicken briyani. Their food was not as tasty as what the reviews have been saying. The mutton was not fantastic and the curry did not blend into the rice well. The briyani lacked masala which is the most critical element that makes the dish exceptional.

To give them some credit, their briyani rice was cooked to perfection with a nice aroma but that alone is not enough for a briyani. The meat and curries have to be excellent as well and they do not fare well in those areas.

I was appalled by their service. One of the worker gave preference to some of the customers who were standing behind me. He picked and chose who he wanted to serve even though there was a queue. I found it very unprofessional and left a bad impression on their service.

Overall itโ€™s not worth the hype and I have eaten way better briyani in Sโ€™pore at other lesser known places. You can try here once, but definitely not a place I would come back again.

Probably the only vadai by far that makes me fall in love with the snack on first bite! I also finally understood why it is popular among groupbuys. On a Saturday afternoon when we dropped by, they only had the prawn vadai available and with each order, the vadai were fried instantly again. I found the vadai here not as floury as the usual ones that I have tasted. In fact, even with the relatively crispy batter exterior, the interior was fluffy and well marinated with spices. The prawn on top was sizeable, and surprisingly meaty while the green chilies were complimentary. Will be back to try the vadais with other toppings such as ikan bilis and grago!

A combined creation by both chefs, this was a highlight of our meal! The seared scallop sits with a mildly sweet smoked carrot and orange purรฉe, white wine reduction and caviar, paired with such a well spiced Tandoori black cod. The seemingly different elements worked harmoniously well together.

This Smoked King Salmon with Garden Tomato and Roquefort Salad was only available on the collaborationโ€™s opening night of 14 July 2022 as a special additional starter. Pity it was for one night only because we really enjoyed it! The cured salmon was lightly smoked and matched with fun bursts of flavours from the sweet oranges and tomatoes, and the sharper creamy blue cheese. The cook on the salmon was on point too, tender and flaky.

A collaboration you should catch! Tiffin Room of Raffles Hotel Singapore and Meatsmith Little India are back following last yearโ€™s success to put together a four-hands menu thatโ€™s available from now till 28 July 2022. We saw lots of skillful play of flavours, textures and spices throughout the meal.

Starter was this trio of Papadum with Ikura and Creme Fraiche, Smoked Feta with Watermelon, Potato and Cheese Croquettes with Caviar and BBQ Mustard. Happy to have Meatsmithโ€™s Ikura Papadum again after so long - pop it in a mouthful and get the burst of briny ikura with rich tangy crรจme fraiche on a crisp papadum. The Smoked Feta with Watermelon was a refreshing bite, but the Croquette paled a bit in comparison.
