Found this authentic Japanese Izakaya restaurant at the edge of CBD area. Nice cosy deco that bears much resemblance to many iazakaya joints you see in Japan.
My favourite was the tako wasabi which packed a punch. The assorted sashimi was fresh as well. The other highlights are the momo shio yakitori and rosti mentaiko which are flavourful and screamed Japan!
A recommended try esp if u are in the vicinity!

Came here for a weekend dinner and definitely recommend this place! Loved the vibe of this place and definitely reminds me of the izakayas in Japan. Their must tries here are their skewers, especially the pork collar skewer. Grilled to perfection with the right amount of smokey char, it definitely goes well with a sake pairing. An interesting skewer was their eggplant miso, strong and tangy flavours, though the taste were quite strong, it actually went really well with their rice ball onigiri. We also tried their spicy salmon bowl and beef donburi bowl that were of of really good quality. Definitely recommend this place!

ordered the spicy salmon bowl, crab gratin w mentaiko, gyudon, and a wide range of skewers (wagyu, eggplant, chicken, cherry tomato w bacon, and pork)!! food tasted yummy, will recommend 👍🏼 heard their sake selection is good too but have not tried it yet.

My partner and I had a chill dinner at Shukuu Izakaya. I particularly enjoyed the pork jowl which was juicy and flavourful, and the wagyu skewer that was mouthwatering and rich. The salmon sashimi was really fresh and the wasabi that came with it tasted authentic and slightly sweet. Staff were attentive and patient with us, even providing their personal recommendations. The restaurant is rather cold though, so do consider bringing a jacket!

Tried the squid agedashi tofu and udon and was great! The atmosphere is amazing and good place to have drinks with friends

The mentaiko gratin was very interesting and satisfied my mentaiko cravings. Would recommend!
