Spend date nights huddled over pork burgers and craft beers at this cosy joint perched on the first floor along Jalan SS15/4D. Try the delicious Burgertory Classic (RM15) with juicy pork patty, cheddar cheese, lettuce and crispy onion that's simply satisfying. You can zhoosh up your burger experience and go for The Peanut Butter Bacon (RM22) loaded with creamy peanut butter and streaky bacon. It pairs best with a deep-fried companion like the Truffle Flat Chips (RM12) or Onion Rings (RM8).

Find porky burgers and craft beers at this cosy spot nestled on the first floor in buzzy SS15. They’re open from dinner till late, so pen this place down for an after-work treat with the colleagues. Must-tries are the Bacon Madness (RM22) chock-full of candied bacon and bacon strips as well as the Burgertory Classic (RM15). The latter comes loaded with crispy onions that add a nice crunch to the sweet and juicy pork patty. Make it a full meal for an additional RM28 that’ll get you an order of fries and a bottle of craft beer. Alternatively, opt for the simpler sets from RM7.50 which gets you fries, cheesy mashed potatoes or truffle flat chips with a drink.

Come on an empty stomach to devour this monster burger topped with crispy onion, candy bacon bits and more candy bacon! Go for this if you’re a fan of sweet-savoury combo.

Such a juicy pork patty! Really simple and good stuff. But my fav thing about this burger is the heaping amounts if crispy onion stuffed in it – so crunchy and so yummy. I made it a set for RM9 with truffle flat chips and a drink. Maybe skip the chips and stick to fries – barely any truffle flavour.

Situated in the bustling area of SS15 Subang Jaya and also the newest competitor to the Subang Jaya burger scene is Spade's Burger. Spade's Burger specializes in Pork burgers but also serve beef, chicken, and non-meat burgers.

For the bacon lover, try the Burger of Steel. It's made up of a pork patty, 4 types of bacon, bacon sauce, cheddar cheese and vegetables. All in between 2 charcoal buns. You can also make it a combo which will come with a side and drink. Personally, I highly recommend the pork nuggets and bacon sauce. The cheese sauce is not bad but I feel it's too heavy for something as rich as pork nuggets.

The burger itself was not very impressive. But that is perhaps I felt it was a little too heavy. The taste of everything else has been overpowered by the bacon and in the end it just feels like eating bread and bacon. The pork patty was super juicy as I tried it on another burger. However, it was totally overshadowed by the powerful flavours of the bacon and was unable to shine through. The buns were not as soft as Burgerlabs and they tasted a little dry.

I might try the Orgashroom next time. But for now it will be quite a while until my next visit.

Verdict: 6/10

Coffee is good here!

Not very well-photographed, but the Dark Knight’s a winner. Doubling down on that fried cheddar crisp is genius, and the bacon bits are easier to bite into (as compared to the Spidey’s bacon strips). Also enjoyed the signature cocktail sauce in the burger — sweet-chilli and mayo with a little heat!

Had this with the beef patty with a beautiful sear on the sides, which I much preferred over the paler pork.

Spades Burger, or what I like to call the Penang equivalent of myBurgerlab, is now open in SS15! Have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of burgers here. Their upside? Pork. Lots of it.

The Spidey features fried bacon strips, fried cheddar, patty (pork, beef or fried chic) and a BBQ-cheese sauce. Nice textures between the fluffy bun, meaty patty and the crispy bacon and cheddar.
