Join the queue at this food truck and you'll be led to one of the best rojak and cendol in town. Stick with the classic Rojak (from RM5), where julienned cucumber and turnip, fried beancurd, prawn and dough fritters are doused in a delicious sweet, spicy and nutty sauce. For more substance, follow Burppler Gia Horng Lee's lead and add on sotong and egg. For a perfect sidekick to that meal, get a bowl of Cendol (RM2) with creamy coconut milk and fragrant brown sugar.

Fuel up with delicious Punjabi grub at this spot before you hit the bubble tea shops. There’s a great spread of meats and veggies in mouth-watering flavours, from a creamy Mutton Rogan Josh (RM25.90) to the rich Palak Paneer (RM17.90) and tender Tandoori Chicken (RM10.90) – order all these dishes for the table. Grab a basket of freshly made Butter Chapati (RM2.50) to mop up the curries. Also good is Burppler Avocado Queen's personaly favourite, the Chicken Dum Briyani (RM15.90) with fluffy and fragrant rice.

Ask any foodie where to find some of the best yakitori in KL, and they’ll point you towards this smoky joint in SS15. If you’ve made a reservation (which you should), you’re going to want to take a seat at the counter to watch the chef fire up skewers on the grill. Go for the classics like the Momo (chicken thigh, RM4), Negima (chicken thigh and scallion, RM5) and the Ninniku Torikawa (garlic and chicken skin, RM7). On sides, the Shimeiji Mushroom and Butter (RM12) boasts a symphony of flavours from the rich, buttery sauce and the sweet mushrooms. Cap off the meal with some sake (from RM50) to share.

Uncle Soon fires up one solid plate of Prawn and Char Siew Fried Rice (RM9.50) that'll leave you craving for more. It's usually busy for lunch, so swing by for dinner instead. Expect fragrant wok hei-laden rice studded with pieces of char siew, best paired with a dollop of the salty and spicy sambal for more oomph. Pro tip: Burppler chingwens a highly recommends adding a fried egg to your order, especially if you love runny eggs.

Dining here might come with a 40-minute wait for a bowl of Pork Noodles (from RM10), but the community guarantees it's worth it! Swing by early to avoid dissapointment, and don't come too hungry! Burppler Jerrine Soh declares these made-to-order bowls of piping hot noodles "the best thing on earth". Look forward to a bowl loaded with minced pork, lean pork slices, innards that are crowned with crispy pork lard. What makes the dish here is the soup – a moreish sweet-and-salty broth you'll slurp to the last drop.

Cheat days are made for meals like this! Get the signature Rice + L.F.C Drumstick + Vege + Egg (RM10.80) for an all-rounded dish that truly satisfies. There's juicy fried chicken, fluffy rice, deep-fried snake beans and a perfectly fried egg all doused in a delicious spicy curry – YUM! P.s If you can’t find parking here and you’re dying for some fried chicken, visit their other outlets at Seapark and Glenmarie instead.

Plan your next family gathering over fresh seafood and steamboat at this humble Chinese restaurant. Order the delectable Steamboat (RM19.50 per pax) which gets you the usual meatballs, beancurd and more. You can choose between a tom yum or clear soup, but the community prefers the latter for its well-balanced flavours. Though pricey, Burppler Rueann Dass highly recommends getting the signature Crab Mee Hoon (from RM50). “The dark soy sauce envelopes the thin vermicelli while fresh crabs chock full of roe fight for a place in there.” Sounds just heavenly.

This restaurant-bar on the quieter side of SS15 checks all the boxes for fun dinners with foodie friends: good service, interesting fusion dishes to share and fresh cocktails. Burppler Jamri Aizat is a big fan of the pizzas here, such as the Chilli Chicken & Pineapple Pizza (RM26) which he claims will convince you that pineapple does have a place on pizza. Burppler Joey Tin swears by the Wok Fried Pan Mee With Spicy Tuna (RM28) for its unique twist – homemade egg noodles and marinated spicy tuna that works strangely well together. Wash it all down with the nutty and chocolaty Bailey’s Balenciaga (RM38).

Fried chicken lovers, pen this spot down for delicious chix that are crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. FYI: The chickens here are pressure-fried which results in less oily pieces – hooray! Go with the Signature Nomms Fried Chicken (RM14.90) to enjoy the meat in all its glory. Choose from the different flavours they offer – Original, Spicy, Salted Egg or a special flavour of the month. If you’re feeling extra hungry, there's a three-piece version for this meal. Alternatively, there’s also Korean pressure-fried chicken (from RM16.90) in yummy flavours like soy garlic and spicy yangnyeom.

A big hit with the community is this homey dessert shop in SS15 that specialises in tau foo fah. Burppler Jia Qin fell in love with the signature dáo fu fah (RM3.50) with added tong yuen (RM1) while Burppler Twinkle Gan is a big fan of the beancurd + black sesame paste (RM5.50) for its rich flavours. On hot days, tuck into the dáo bing (RM7.90), beancurd with shaved ice that will cool you off. Ps. They just opened their second outlet in Damansara Jaya!

Spend date nights huddled over pork burgers and craft beers at this cosy joint perched on the first floor along Jalan SS15/4D. Try the delicious Burgertory Classic (RM15) with juicy pork patty, cheddar cheese, lettuce and crispy onion that's simply satisfying. You can zhoosh up your burger experience and go for The Peanut Butter Bacon (RM22) loaded with creamy peanut butter and streaky bacon. It pairs best with a deep-fried companion like the Truffle Flat Chips (RM12) or Onion Rings (RM8).

Get the Signature British Fish & Chips (from RM26.90) with your choice fish (dory, cherry snapper, perch, Atlantic cod and haddock), batter flavour and a side dish. We’re big fans of the chilli and lemon batter for a touch of heat and zing, plus the very traditional mushy peas. If you’re here with meat-loving friends, there's the Classic Bangers and Mash (RM20.90) that will surely keep them satisfied.
