Good for hearty dinners is this English-themed restaurant cooking up superb fish and chips. Get the Signature British Fish & Chips (from RM26.90) with your choice fish (dory, cherry snapper, perch, Atlantic cod and haddock), batter flavour and a side dish. We’re big fans of the chilli and lemon batter for a touch of heat and zing, plus the very traditional mushy peas. If you’re here with meat-loving friends, there's the Classic Bangers and Mash (RM20.90) that will surely keep them satisfied.

The most authentic British eatery that can fulfill your fantasy of eating the authentic fish and chips with those sweet and creamy mushy peas.. Other than the crispy fish and chips, they also does an amazing fried dessert which we were overjoyed and immediately chosen a Fried Mars Bars to try.. You have the option to try out either the Mars Bars or Snickers Bars to be fried.. For us, we just went for the Mars Bars and it does require a 15-20 minutes of waiting time for it as it is made to order.. So ya they take their food very seriously! I can just tell you that the wait is really worth it for every sweet tooth! The portion may seem small but they do packs a punch in terms of flavor and texture! So don't underestimate it and bare in mind that it's better to share this dessert as the sugar level is really high.. The batter texture of the mars Bars is really crispy and it coats the Bars cube like a second skin and it does a well done job as the coating really retains the thick caramel fillings and the chocolate still intact but it melts alittle so it's really sinfully good! This mars Bars is accompanied by a vanilla ice cream that is topped off with a generous chocolate sauce and an island of nutty crumb.. In terms of palate, the mars Bars is really crunchy and has this thick caramel that goes extremely well with the nutty crumb and the coolness of the vanilla ice cream as you get a mixture of creamy and sweet thick caramel sensation on your tongue!
Run by founder Adam Hanrahan, Cor Blimey has made SS15 an unassuming capital for British-style fish and chips in town. The decor pays homage to their ocean catch with a blue and white theme, channeling cheerful vibes that suit a casual dinner date. Come for the Fish & Chips (from RM18.90) fresh off the fryer. Your choice of fish goes from run-of-the-mill dory to premium Atlantic cod, all guaranteed to be fried fresh, not frozen. If it's available as catch of the day, get the haddock for its lean white flesh. Coated in batter before deep-frying, the fish emerges firm and mildly sweet. Batter makes a difference here — either go for the original for something classic or try the coconut curry that yields umami flavours. The sides of handcut chips with malted vinegar and minted mushy peas seal the deal for an authentic British experience.
Avg price per person: RM30
As an Englishman would say, here's a chipper! It's really surprising to find good fish and chips in SS15, of all places but Cor Blimey does do the dish justice. I chose butterfish out of the options for dory, snapper and more, with the chilli lemon batter. The fish was fresh, still fat with juices after frying while the flavoured batter added a zesty zing. Dipped into tartar, this one is on point! Perhaps even better than the fish were the chunky chips (what we would call wedges) and minted mushy peas. While it looks underwhelming, it is in fact a very hearty portion.
