The queue is hella intimidating but because I am a a FOMO Singaporean I just went to queue lah. In the end, it was a good choice. The noodles here sibei springy and nice. The pork and char siew is ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป THE FAT TO MEAT RATIO THO. Wah and I only paid $3.50 for it. How to not queue for it??

Char siew was pretty good, you can tell it's not the run of the mill kind. It's almost got a pork jowl texture with more bite, despite looking quite lean. Exterior was decent but not as good as you would expect from ("basting laboriously" or wtv they wrote)

Siobak was flavourful and had a great biscuity crunch despite looking quite dry.

Roast duck wasn't crispy at all though. It's slightly chewy but I guess the umami was decent. Probably just get the other 2

I love Char Siew and I love Singapore.

Fu Shun Jin Ji Shao La Mian Jia was established in 2008 by Singaporean Chan Tuck Kwai, who first began cooking in his teens.

His roast meats have become popular they attracted constant queues of customers at Maxwell Food Centre.

Its Char Siew is prepared by roasting it over charcoals while basting continuously throughout the cooking period.

This technique layers the surface with a thick coating of marinade, not-too-sweet and deeply savoury. It is roasted until a slight charring is created, which added a smoky flavour to the strip of meat.

Upon reaching Maxwell, this store had a snaking queue.

Was wondering if it's really that nice. I was not dissappointed

1) roasted duck skin was crispy and juicy.
2) the char siew was slightly charred so it tasted good
3) the roasted pork skin was so crispy as well

Roasted Pork Char Siew Rice with additional Char Siewย + roast duck meat ($5ย + $3)
I am pretty sure this stall has received more than sufficient rave reviews so I will keep mine short
- Char siew was sinfully good with the meat being tender, fats combined with the caramelised charred bits melting in your mouth (Almost as good as Old Airport Road's Roast Paradise)
- Roast pork had a crisp and crunchy skin and had quite a high fat-to-meat ratio
- Their sambal chili was only slightly spicy, complementing the dish really well
- Only shortfall for me would be their roast duck meat which was too tough for my liking
Price: 8/10
Taste: 9/10
Overall: 8.5/10

Took about 30 mins waiting on a Monday Lunch timing before getting the Char Siew Roast Meat Noodle for only $3.50. It is affordable and tast so great. The Char Siew is not those hard and dry type usually found in other roast meat stall. They use those fatty cuts which makes it so tender. The Roast Meat's skin is crispy and had a smokey flavour in it. The sauce combination with the noodle blends well with it.

Overall, each individual ingredients stand out from each other but complies each other. I will try their Roast Duck in my next visit.
