This is not your usual yong tau foo stall, as they sell it here during the day and turned the space into bar at night.

Surrounded by the Financial District, this place is a good spot to grab lunch with colleagues for their signature yong tau foo.

Head over to their bar counter, where they have places all the ingredients on the table. Pick the ingredients you want with minimum 6 pieces, then choose whether you want to go with the rice or noodle; dry or soup.

Their signature would be their dry noodle like this one. All of them would be topped with mushroom gravy.

It’s been a while since I visited Fu Lin for their yong tau foo. I ordered the Dry Yong Tau Foo ($8.50 for 6 pieces + rice/thick beehoon) which is covered in their signature minced meat gravy. There is quite a number of fried and fresh ingredients to choose from and the meat sauce is tasty - thought it goes very well with rice. However, I wouldn’t recommend the bittergourd as it is a very thick cut and still raw and bitter in the middle. Wished they had fried eggplant and bitter gourd too! Nonetheless, the yong tau foo is still pretty good on the whole!

Highly recommend their xo carrot cake and hei zhou. These dishes were done much better than other competing brands. Great flavour. The crispy pork belly and ytf set were good too, better than average.

If you’re looking for comfort food with a side of chilled beer, Fu Lin Bar & Kitchen is definitely the place to be. Have a bite of their crispy prawn rolls, fried to golden perfection and well-paired with a savoury sweet sauce.

Enjoy the rich burst of pork bone broth from their Xiao Long Bao elevated by its black vinegar and chopped ginger dip - delicate yet simply irresistible.

Not to forget, their Hakka Pork Belly & Eggs Fried Rice, Yong Tau Foo and Pork Ribs were equally flavourful.

Better yet, reward yourself with Happy Hour drinks if you’re in the area on weekdays from 3PM to 7PM. Cheers!🍻

When night falls, Fu Lin Bar & Kitchen transforms into a modern Chinese tapas bar with its hip ambience and trendy décor. The revamped dinner menu has a combination of local fare, Sichuan bar bites and specialty alcohol, together with their signature fried yong tofu. From the grilled marinated Pork Ribs ($15) to the perfect beer companion of Crispy Pork Belly ($14), these are great bar bites that you can munch on as you wind down the day. For a spicy end to the day, get the Sichuan Mala Fish ($16), and this dish packs a spicy punch as the fish slices is in a chilli oil broth with peppercorns and chilli flakes in it.
