We ordered the patin fish to be served mala style (as recommended by the friendly waitress). The fish was fairly huge, the meat was flaky and succulent with a good bite to it as all fresh fish do. This also came with beancurd skin, cabbage and some sprouts. The flavour profile of the dish was complemented by the distinct char grilled taste of the fish skin. This was on promotion and the total cost about $50 after gst and service charge. Rating: 8.1/10

Do note that the spiciness level is fixed as the establishment purportedly wants its patrons to experience the authentic flavour profile (the phrase used was 原味). That said, one need not be scared by how red this dish turned out as the spice level was at a pleasant and tolerable level - for someone who generally orders 小辣 for mala xiangguo . The staff were friendly and service was prompt too. Will most definitely recommend this place.

An iconic Sichuan dish is also known as 辣子雞. It is a plate full of dried chilli peppers, peppercorns, roasted peanut and white sesame seed with crispy, tender, spicy and delicious pieces of chicken. The chicken has a crunchy and chewy texture with a fragrant, spicy and salty flavour 》$16

A blend of sweet and sour, perfect for those who can't take spicy flavours. It has a refreshing and appetising base with hints of sourness from the pickled cabbage. It goes well with the grilled seabass and is a perfect pairing with contrast if you are ordering a spicy flavour to share 》$32/small

Choose from 5 different types of fish (patin, golden snapper, seabass, grass carp & flounder), 7 flavours (spicy numbing, spicy fragrant, pickled cabbage, mushroom herbs, sweet & sour, fermented black bean or fresh chillies), level of spiciness and sides to go with it.

Here we have the seabass in a spicy fragrant broth with just the right amount of blended spices. The seabass was well grilled with a slight crisp on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I like how the broth is fragrant, light and not greasy even with the intimidating layer of red chilli oil on top 》$32/small

A portion for one person and it is really satisfying, especially with the warm pickled cabbage soup during raining night. Perfect for those who want some grilled fish but not too spicy.

The texture was surprisingly chewy with a taste of spicy as you eat.
