Apparently also a signature here, but KL chicken is inferior to Singapore's. That makes this dish lame.
One of our best eats this trip. The delicious minced beef and the perfect mee kia were a match made in heaven. The beef balls and sliced beef were good quality, but we didn't eat the innards.
Bom was bom but the kosong was poor. It's neither crispy nor fluffy and quite bland.
I insisted on icing my teh halia and it's quite a nice drink. Because ginger should always be in moderation.
Top priority. Unfortunately it didn't hit the high expectations. It's just prata drenched in curry and sambal plus soft eggs. It's enjoyable enough, but why use old prata and not fresh prata?
Their stir-frys all come very small haha, like a snack.
We didn't research this market before we came, but this dish had the longest queue, so we trusted that. For something soupy and simple, this was very good. Broth was top.
I've missed this! A level above Singapore's. But so small omg. It's like a snack that you can order multiple.
This pioneer chicken rice shop at Chinatown has been serving their chicken rice for many years, and recently gained their recognition on Michelin Guide with Bib Gourmand.
If this is your first time here, then you definitely must try this unique steamed village chicken, which I find it more tasty and firm in texture as compared to the normal one.
While this coffee shop has a few food stalls, you would find many people coming here for particularly for one stall.
Everyone would patiently waiting at their own table after making their order from this char koay teow stall.
Many said it is one of the best char koay teow you can find in Penang, and the wait could be up to half an hour.
You would enjoy the wok hey taste with 2 pieces of prawn there. Close to the airport, making it a perfect stop for brunch before flying off.
Last not not least, you have to grab some apom from this stall outside the coffee shop as well.
Sai Ram is so popular that their orders constantly coming in, with people either wait around the stall for takeaway, or waiting patiently inside the coffee shop.
Their apom with a egg on the top is the most popular item.
Or you may grab this from Roti Babi stall as well, which the dough is house made and stuffed with generous pork meat inside.
