somehow tasted even better takeaway and was really juicy!

Surprised the ice cream was ok.

Overall there's really no reason to come for the food, idk why ppl are hyping it up so much. You're paying a significant sum for subpar food. I didn't try the fried ckn so maybe that's their only saving grace, but idk why anyone would pay such a ridiculous amount of money for that either.

If you must, come for the service. Some(the name of the Korean lady) was absolutely lovely throughout the night

Tiger prawns were good. The sauce doesn't rlly taste like anything, and the grits were bad. It's my first time having so i don't think it's necessarily the execution, but it tastes like haphazardly mashed overly soft mee hoon kueh, no flavour at all either.

The saving grace were the slivers of bacon

Dry, dense. It's somehow addictive cos of the flavours but really, it's not particularly good and it's lacking any sort of crisp. Obviously the butter helps tho

Soft but abit dry and stringy. The smoke was rlly bad, choking and not aromatic. Sauce components weren't coherent.

Passable, but not for this price

The sharpness was there and there's this strong sourness coming thru that's quite interesting.

But nowhere near good enough for frigging 5bucks a hardboiled egg

Β½ bird served with honey hot sauce

honey butter, house-made jam

Highlight from the @yardbirdsingapore Cheese & Charcuterie Board ($42++) includes the Housemade Bacon Jam that is so addictive, rich and delicious Truffle Burrata as well as thick cut salmon with ikura.

unfortunately my least favourite dish here :( even though the balsamic chilli oil base was flavourful, the pasta didn’t realy absorb the flavour and tasted really bland. chorizo was veryyy tough too

previously found the CHICKEN & WAFFLES ($46) dry but it was sooo good this time round, esp the waffles!πŸ—πŸ§‡ also tried the TEA BRAISED SHORT RIBS ($45) and was v surprised that the fragrance of lavender was apparent! it also made this dish less heavy

The Seasonal Cobbler ($22) is a Southern classic that is great for sharing and it comes with brown sugar oat crumble with two large scoops of vanilla ice cream and topped with a red caramel tuile. For something tangy, the Key Lime Pie ($16) will awaken your tastebuds with the toasted mint meringue and seasonal fruits.

Superb fried chicken and waffles with spiced watermelon! Repeat patron. Remember to have their chicken with their in house bourbon maple syrup and hot sauce.

Their crab cakes were good too.

Good to make reservations as they can get quite packed on weekends especially.

Laughed away when my mum and godma were perplexed by the saltiness and peculiarity of the spice and flavors that yardbird’s signature wings were seasoned with. I concluded - must be the SEA Chinese tastebuds used to home cooked food.

Overall, Yardbird has a reasonable lunch break set for $36++ which includes a sandwich/salad, a side and drink. Out of all we order I enjoyed the buttermilk biscuits which were dense and lovely with the side of jam.
While the burger and fish sandwich were generously portions, the former fared better as the fish was overdone. We’d also recommend sharing amongst females, 4 of us effectively shared 3 sets and were filled.

Spiced watermelons were definitely unique and were a great palette cleanser. Unfortunately, while the waffles were denser and thicker than your usual ones, we couldn’t really taste the cheddar in the waffles :/ but we would definitely say that they were filling.

Yardbird originates from the US and serves up good ol’ American food. The ambience at their restaurant is really nice and seems like a great place to unwind over some drinks and fried chicken! Price points are pretty steep but the servings for chicken β€˜n’ watermelon β€˜n’ waffles were really generous and more than enough to feed 2! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

This looked DAMN good HAHA our mouth watered 🀀🀀 at the sight of fried chicken served in a chicken-shaped cage, with perfectly cubed watermelons and thick waffles served on the side. The 6pc chicken was fried really well, and our only gripe with it was that it wasn’t piping hot when it got to our table, same with the cheddar waffles.

With Avacado on top of Lobster & Shrimp, this combination is nice but definitely not one of the best at Yardbird. But for someone who is more health conscious, the avocado does make it a little more healthier! πŸ₯‘
