𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗴𝗴 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲

The grilled oysters stood out for us in particular. Plump and fresh, they were infused with a generous serving of garlic and sauce. The oysters came piping hot from the charcoal grill, and were especially juicy and delicious! This, together with the fresh oyster mushrooms, is definitely a must-order to get your money’s worth hehe.

For those who have a lighter palate, you can order less or no seasoning on your skewers, which was great for us as the buffet did get a bit jelat towards the end. Nonetheless, we must say that the service was good and attentive, and we a had a great experience at the BBQ Buffet at Boon Keng New Taste!

We’re sure most of you already know about the viral prawn claypot trend 🦐🦐 - and we absolutely could not resist heading back for Hae Prawn Claypot at their newest outlet in Paya Lebar!
.
Their huge and fresh tiger prawns in their signature broth have already become a familiar sight for us. 🤩 This time, we tried their 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘀 ($𝟴.𝟴𝟬) 🍄‍🟫 which melted in the soup like sea-cucmber-like texture. We also got their 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀 ($𝟳.𝟴𝟬), 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘄 ($𝟴.𝟴𝟬) and 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 ($𝟭𝟬.𝟴𝟬) which were delicious! 😋
.
Hae Prawn Claypot has opened their 2nd outlet in Paya Lebar, just a 10min walk away from PLQ. Not only are they more accessible, they are open till 3am as well which is perfect for you to satisfy your supper cravings! ❤️‍🔥
.
@haeclaypotsg has kept their high standards - their prawn broth is just as gao and flavourful! 🙂‍↕️🤤 Now, there’s even the option of adding ✨𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵✨ so you get BOTH the prawn flavours and collagen richness. 😍 Be sure to check out their new outlet so you don’t miss out! 🦐🦐

The other flavours we got included the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺, 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗜𝘁 𝗨𝗽. We mixed their cheese based pizzas with their tomato based ones with their 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳 ($𝟮𝟵) option. This would be perfect for sharing and to try more flavours!
oh

You cannot go wrong with pesto, and we loved it! The major standout here was the delightful addition of walnuts which went really well with the provolone cheese and walnuts. However, maybe they could be more generous with the pesto.

Their signature pizza consisted of only 3 toppings: cream cheese, cherry tomato and basil. This was simple yet very delicious!

For sides, their 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 ($𝟭𝟵) and 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 ($𝟭𝟵) definitely took the cake. Featuring pasta sheets topped with either beef ragu or creamy chicken with spinach and tomatoes, these lasagna dishes were creamy, melt-in-your-mouth, and satisfying - the perfect comfort food with the pizza!

National Day is around the corner! 🇸🇬 To commemorate SG59, Mr Bean has launched a new range of pancakes to Go Local and feature some local flavours. Here’s what we got to try from their selection ❤️🤍

Just look at the flowing orh nee and that mochi pull 🤩, Mr Bean’s mochi is the perfect amount of sweet and chewy and we really liked there were taro bits and chunks to give the filling some texture! However, with the whole pancake consisting of starch and flour-based ingredients, the orh nee could have used a stronger flavour profile

The pandan aroma was fragrant but not overpowering, and paired nicely with the gooey cheese to coat the pancake. We loved the vibrant pandan green and just wish we had more of that filling!

2 human beans who live to eat! sharing some great eats and our bellies gastronomic afterthoughts :3 hit us up @toofoodtomiss on ig for invites/collabs/ and tell us where to eat next!
