Tsukimi Udon ($8.80) 🍜🍜
This was a simple egg udon with thin udon noodles! 🥚🍲 Initially, the bowl we got wasn’t the hottest (in temperature) but luckily, the restaurant’s boss noticed this and immediately offered us a replacement bowl. Their service was really really impressive and truly the second bowl was piping hot fresh out of the kitchen 😌♨️
.
Yakitori Set of 5 sticks ($13.80) 🍢🍡
We chose 2 x Pork wrapped Enoki, 2 x Miso Buta and 1 x Pork Wrapped Asparagus
You could really taste the miso on the skewers and the meat was SO juicy (unlike a certain place oops)! The pork wrapped enoki and asparagus tasted really good too, even the veggies absorbed that pork goodness! 👍

Taste: 4.5/5
Stonks: 4/5
Overall: 4.5/5 ❤ must try!

Tamako Meal is a jap restaurant tucked along Casuarina Rd and serves up simple jap food that tastes like your mum made it 🤩at very affordable prices !! We come here about once a month and have never been disappointed ☝🏻 the crowds get crazy around 7, so do make a reservation or come down after 8 to avoid the queues! (p.s. use favepay ecards to score some cashbacks for your next visit cuz you’ll DEF be back 🤞🏻)

Pork Yakiniku Teishoku Set w Garlic Rice ($13.80 + 2) 🍱🍱
This is hands down the BEST jap bento we’ve ever had before. The variety of side dishes is crazy and they don’t skimp on the portions! The stir fried yakiniku pork was thiccc and tasted so GOOD! 🐷 The sides included fried silken tofu, potato salad, edamame, tamagoyaki, chicken karaage, and ebi fry 🍤🥟🍗 🤤We highly recommend topping up $2 to get the garlic fried rice because it’s so flavourful and aromatic. 🍚🍚 We’ve never had such a value-for-money bento at a jap restaurant that tastes so much like home cooked goodness! 🥰

A big portion of bento that comes with ebi, vege, potato, chicken, miso soup and dumpling; together with main item of your choice.
I got the salmon teriyaki, the sauce was a bit too sweet for me. $15.80
A special fish that was flown in from Hokkaido, it was springy and huge compared to the usual mackerel grilled fish
Tasty okonomiyaki with a ‘homely’ touch. Food is generally not bad and service is definitely 10/10! Would definitely revisit again to try their other dishes.
