Wursthans Switzerland (PLQ)

Pretty empty on a Saturday lunch hour. Had the Rosti w/ Grilled Boneless Chicken Thigh & Creamy Saute Mushroom ($21.90+) paired with their Homemade Iced Elderflower Tea ($3.50+). Rosti deliciously crisp at the edges and so buttery inside. The chicken thigh was bigger than expected and was charred beautifully. Mushrooms were also so creamy and delicious. Overall a great meal.

Perfect location, right outside PLQ Mall. Easy access from the mrt.

Takes you to Switzerland. taste, presentation, service all on point. The food is well prepared and is complete with greens, protein choice and rosti as carbs.

They have set lunches from $17. Well worth the price with bottomless water or a glass of iced tea. Must visit when near paya Lebar.

This features a base of pan-sized potato rosti, crisp fluffy with good starchy savoury salty flavour, but slightly greasy.

The sauté mushrooms (shiitake, button) are tender with vegetal milky earthy salty sweet flavour.

The grilled boneless chicken thigh has a crispy skin and tender juicy chicken meat, with lovely smoky meaty savoury sweet flavour.

I asked for less salt to be added, so this was just right.

This feels wholesome.

The potato rosti is crisp and fluffy, albeit slightly greasy, with good starchy savoury salty flavour.

The spicy chicken sausage is snappy and crunchy, with smoky meaty savoury spicy salty flavour.

The roasted vegetables include crunchy cauliflower and broccoli florets, bursting with bright vegetal sweet flavour.

Completed with a thick creamy dollop of house sour cream, lending lovely milky sour flavour.

Sprinkled with white sugar crystals and topped with creamy vanilla ice cream, lending floral earthy sweet flavour.

Overall, this was decent, but seemed to lack the edge to make it memorable. Perhaps a better quality sweet potato or other garnishes may help.
