They have moved to a new location recently, along the same road few walks away from their original location. Offering a more comforting dining area with air-conditioned space at the 2nd level.
One of the pioneer for offering authentic Nasi Padang in Singapore and they still going strong until today.
Lots of dishes to choose from and most people would recommend their beef rendang and squid in black sauce.
I do find their chili paste is weaker on the spiciness but overall still flavourful and enjoyable.
Quite pricey, portion is reasonably generous though
The beef rendang was quite decent, squid ink squid had a rather light lime taste compared to normal, and rather well cooked too.
Jackfruit curry was alright as well, but the highlight was definitely the tripe that's in it, supremely tender and very beefy.
Their chili is very soft and not v spicy, it's quite comforting really and very enjoyable
Overall quite tame and easily accessible to most, decent execution
I won't make a special trip, the good news is that the price keeps the crowd volume low, at 1130am on a weekday it's not even half filled
With sweet gula melaka syrup & grated coconut.

Also a cup of aromatic fresh brewed Kopi O.
Enjoyed slowly.

Classic plate of Nasi Lemak.
Thick egg omelette, fried chicken wing, crispy ikan bilis and crunchy peanuts.
Delicious chilli sauce and fluffy rice.
Meaning 'wait patiently', they are among the most well-established nasi padang eateries in Singapore, having operated since 1944.
.
Their dishes are homely, affordable, and tasty, though occasionally inconsistent. Still, the variety here is a good representation.
.
With our nasi / white rice, we had ayam goreng / fried chicken, beef rendang, sambal sotong / squid in chili gravy, sotong masak hitam / squid in black ink gravy, sambal goreng, ikan bakar balado hijau / grilled yellow croaker fish with green chili, and begedil / potato patty.
.
Very satisfying, this meal cost SGD $50 for 6 of us.
