Ordered the whole chicken with Diane sauce, served with truffle mash potato & french onion rice ($37.90++)
If you are someone who hates breast meat. Fret not. The texture of Poulet roast chicken is real tender & able to tear off from the bone easily. 👍
Truffle mash is a mush-order, a very comfort & fragrant side. As for the french onion rice, I don’t really like the texture of the rice hence will not recommend unless you just need some carbs to fill your tummy.
Wanted to try non-chicken food from Poulet just for a change, and I think I will not do it again anytime soon 😅
The sea bass, though tender and light (as it should be), is too small and bland. The alfalfa topping is good but seemed to be an afterthought. I had french onion rice and mashed potato as sides (yes both carbs lol) which could be this dish’ only saving grace. But wouldn’t pay for this just to enjoy the sides 🤷🏻♀️

I am a sucker for cream pasta!
Spaghetti, chicken chunks, turkey bacon, sous vide egg, homemade cream sauce, parmesan cheese... thumbs up from me!
Their chicken is soft (even the breast). But the truffle fries were quite tasteless, cheese was a clump, and mango dessert was okay but nothing impressive

Slow-cooked Beef Oxtail Ragu - $17.90

Beef oxtail that’s cooked to soft and tender, served in tomato sauce. Ragu is topped with cherry tomatoes & cheese shavings. A flavourful pasta dish

Poulet

I wanted to have some chicken but discovered that Poulet also served homemade pot pie, and so I ordered the Chunky Chicken Pot Pie (S$13.90).
Breaking open the puff pastry that covered the bowl, I found some diced chorizo sausage and chicken chunks mixed with cheddar cheese and a layer of creamy mashed potatoes. Although I would really say that the portion was really debatable (talk about French cuisine), the least I derived from this set was a combination of comfort food in one place.
My friends and I was around Vivo City and I suggested Poulet as it is Christmas Day and since Turkey is expensive, we shall get Chicken instead. My friends & I shared the French Roast Chicken with Mushroom Chardonnay Sauce ($30.90).
The Chicken is moist which is not bad. The sauce is very creamy which is very delicious. It is the best mushroom sauce I've tasted. However, $30.90 for a whole chicken with no side is quite pricey. To get the side which consist of shoestring fries & vegetables, it would be $36.90 instead. I believed that $30.90 should consist of side without paying the additional $6 for it.
Overall, the dish is not bad but can be pricey.
Me and my Husband ordered French onion soup, French roast chicken with Chardonnay sauce and a dessert with a glass of wine... this was our second visit to the place... everything we had was amazing and I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We first tried Poulet in 2012. Since then we would not forget to order their Signature Roast Chicken, Mushroom Soup, Truffle Fries and Tiramisu for each visit. Still thumbs up for the Half Roast Chicken with Mushroom Chardonnay Sauce $16.90! However, a bit of a disappointment today as the Tiramisu $9.90 is on the damp side. Espresso soaked fingers melted and vanished into the mascarpone cheese. The Pan-fried Salmon $18.90 is over-cooked and tasted a bit tough although the tangy sauce is pretty interesting. The Yuzhu Spritzer $5.90 added a great punch though.
Half chicken with mushroom sauce - chicken is tender and moist. Would recommend sharing this dish as the creamy mushroom sauce can get jelak if eaten alone. The mushroom soup is milky and creamy. Would give this a miss if you prefer soups with a stronger and earthier mushroomy taste.
I highly recommend the truffle mash if you’re a hardcore truffle fan, and the TIRAMISU - must try!
Great and light onion soup. The soup is lighter and less dense than most authentic French restaurants' onion soup but still not too bad, especially if you are craving for warm, soupy stuff that is not too heavy. A great entrée before your plat principal. The portion is a little small though, not really enough for sharing with two people.
Hands-down the most delicious truffle fries that I have ever had in Singapore. Fried so crisp, but yet so fluffy on the inside. The truffle oil, drizzled generously, light and very fragrant. Every fry is coated evenly, and the portion is huge, and deserving. Even through the meal, the fries remained crisp, and that my Friend is seriously a major plus for me.
Even my mom (who is against all things fried) remark that we can always come just for these sexy babies. And for only $7, a basket you seriously score on this one.
(i spent so much time trying to spell this dish)
Thanks to a recent groupon deal for cash vouchers @bakerzin, i finally am able to step foot into this atas looking restaurant.
This dish is called Grilled Barramundi, also known as grilled seabass. The damage to your wallet is $17.90. Food wise, the taste was pretty average(what can you expect from a grilled fish?) and the portion was quite meagre and not worth the price paid for. Only with discounted deals such as groupon would make this meal more value even when it largely isn't.
Have always loved their half chicken with mushroom sauce($15.90++)! Delicious as always! The portion of chicken is big and the thickness and goodness of the sauce will fill your hungry tummy in no time! If you want to order their sides, I suggest sharing half a chicken and the other side dishes :-) If you have slightly more money to spend, do head down this place to satisfy your chicken craving! 😊
Date night with the bestie at my favourite chicken place. Always so good whenever I come ☺️☺️☺️
The chicken was so good and I really really really loved the onion soup!! Will come back once every year because it's not something I will crave constantly so once is enough for each year hahaha
Had a 2 person set promo for $30. Besides the drinks and bread, the rest were hard to share especially only got 1 main course. Anyways, the mash potato, mushroom gravy from the chicken, and crème brulee dessert not bad!! Affordable French food.
