I'm back after several years. I tend to resist this signature dish due to the price, but the sauce is special. On this day, the beef had some rubbery parts. I love their sides.
This western food stall is totally a hidden gem in Ang Mo Kio, but they are consider one of the best to offer in this neighbourhood.
Open by ex-hotel chef, they surprisingly offered quite a huge range of western food options on the menu.
To get the best of both meats, I would recommend to go with their combo selection like this one.
Comes in big size of breaded chicken and pork chop. The breaded chicken got an excellent texture with crunchy skin.
While the pork chop cooked with butter and garlic, not too hard to bite.
The combo is completed with coleslaw, corns and twister fries. Totally in love with everything on the plate.
Value for money steak. Ribeye was tender, juicy and the garlic merlot sauce was loaded with flavor:
Ribeye Steak with Garlic Merlot Butter ($16.90)
The Garlic Merlot Butter was indeed da bomb here tho — sinfully buttery yet carrying a pungent garlicky flavour for there were chunks of garlic within (which I love!); slather the butter above the various parts of the meat or just simply wait for it to melted enjoy with the steak to get the full-on flavour — kinda artery-clogging but totally worth it."

The fish was more fried than "pan-seared" and very oily. Together with the garlic butter, I think would be enough to scare the health-conscious! That aside, the fish was thick but bland. Really nothing too spectacular about this plate, except for the addictive curly fries! Each fry is crispy and well-seasoned -- think McDonald's twister fries but MUCH more generous in portion and slightly crispier.
Wanted the grilled fish but there were sold out! Another nice alternative is the fish N Chips that was freshly fried.
