Fresh and huge prawns in a flavourful broth packed with umami goodness. The broth is rich and robust with a tinge of natural sweetness from the seafood. The dry version came with noodles doused in chilli sauce, topped with braised pig skin and shallots 》$12
U can only choose the price. We were lucky cos there's no normal 13nett prawns, so I actually got the 20nett deep sea prawns instead. The highest price is 28 which are the same prawns but larger
Pig skin has good texture but the braise is weak.
The dry one is not recommended, cos the sambal is v avg
Honestly the big prawns don't taste too much better than the smaller prawns. It just tastes different, so unless you're a prawn connoisseur it really is not too worth it
Gets you the most normal prawns, but still of reasonable size and quite generous.
No more pork ribs at night. The pork belly had a nice sticky skin but it was not brined and so really had no flavour.
Soup was insane tho. It's really briny, a proper prawn broth, the salty kind. One of the strongest versions I've had(maybe the strongest of this style), and an authentic one(not the reinterpreted kinds)
However I feel like it's not good for drinking, cos it's better if it were slightly less salty and more tempered with a bit of sweetness as well as more body. This would be good as a base for some other dish instead of being used directly
Seeing those huge Prawns displayed at the front of the shop really enticed me.
Decided to have the medium portion @ $13
The bee hoon/kway teow was mixed in chilli and ketchup, really some old school taste here.
Prawns were huge and fresh.
Soup was great as well, a mixture of pork and prawn broth, personally, I like it mixed with red chilli. Damn good.
I’ve had my fair share of prawn noodles from this particular stall a few years back when i patronised it more frequently. However, coming here for breakfast seems to be a bad idea. I guess being the second customer right after it opened meant a much less flavourful and rich broth, with it paling so much in comparison to what I’ve had before (and other reviews as well). I guess the only advice I have is to go after a while — perhaps later during lunch or in the evening once the prawns have really simmered into the pot of broth.
Didn't even step into the food centre yet but I could already smell the tantalising fragrance of the prawn broth simmering - it was THAT strong. Decided to go for the $12 option and was wowed by the huge prawns, rich broth, as well as the noodles mixed with an addictive sauce. Plus points for the pork rib and pig skin thrown into the mix as well! Definitely a must-try even if you are neutral toward prawn noodles.
hands down the best prawn mee in singapore!!! I’ll rate it a 11/10!!!!! prices range from $8/$12/$16/$20!!
the broth is super thick & flavorful, prawns are huge and very fresh!!! The bowl of prawn mee comes with pork ribs which are also super good (according to my friends) but I always request for no pork ribs in my order so i get extra prawns instead!
There is always a pretty long queue when i’m here for dinner but this prawn mee is definitely worth the queue and worth the money paid!! Highly recommended!
Hands down the best prawn noodles I've tasted. The richness of the soup blew my mind and the noodles were so silky and well tossed in the sinful lard. The price is so high because of the huge prawns tossed in but honestly everything was so well done, I'd be happy to go without. This was absolutely worth queueing for a good 30 minutes from 6pm.
Umami Rich Broth with huge fresh prawns and tender pork ribs. Price from $8.00.

When I'm seriously craving for a bowl of good prawn noodles, I have three places on my list and one of them is the Zion Road Big Prawn Noodles aka 知味鲜 Fresh Taste Big Prawn Noodles, located at the Zion Riverside Food Center.
I'd always go for the dry version to enjoy the chilli-coated noodles separately from the umami-packed broth with those gigantic wild-caught sea prawns. 😋
Remembered trying this 2 years ago and it didn’t leave a ”WOW” impression. This year after the hawker gone through a renovation I decided to give it a try again.
Price definitely increased and $6 wasn’t an option anymore.
I ordered the $12 and definitely find it pricey given that we’re in hawker and also for the portion.
Prawns were indeed big however it was sliced into half so technically only 2 prawns for $12.
The broth was rich but similarly this trip did not leave me a “WOW” impression.
Zion Road prawn mee is my favourite! Prices have gone up over the years and they’re now 8/12/16/20/25, but when you see the size of the prawns you understand why. The prawns are huge, and are of monstrous proportions if you pay $25. There’s also a good portion of tender pork ribs, and the soup is wonderfully rich with both a prawn and a porky fragrance.
Ordered the 𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐞 for $8. It was quite pricey for a hawker food, but trust me, it’s really worth the price and the queueing time (it took me ~30 mins).
The broth was incredibly rich, tasty and comforting with a tinge of sweetness. As it’s my first experience eating prawn noodle, I was also surprised to find fall-off-the-bone pork ribs in my soup below the two fresh giant prawns. It was really delicious, and I didn’t hesitate to drink more of the rich yet light broth.
The noodle was the thick yellow vermicelli type that was cooked al dente. Initially thought that the noodle would be bland, but it was addictively yummy and served with fragrant fried shallots. The soup and the noodle really made a souper match! 👍🏼

It’s amazing that the stall was run by just one uncle, who, despite having to prepare for the seemingly unending orders, still greeted each of the customers amicably. His friendliness made me forget the tiredness from standing in the queue for so long ☺️
Would recommend you to try this prawn noodle if you haven’t already!
After having my $8 worth of prawn noodle, my friend challenged to have the $16 one as he mentioned is a lot and he will pay half of it. I accepted the challenge.
When I told the stall owner that I want to have the $16 one having here. He was shocked that I was still able to eat. I also learned that they use wild caught tiger prawn hence the size and freshness of the prawn.
Let's go for the good points first: the broth is very flavorful and among so many prawn mees I've eaten (too many to count) it has the best balance of seasoning, umami from the prawn shells, and sweetness from the pork. Excellent base which is a big plus (and one of the most impt thing in prawn mee)
However, there were other problems: the broth was too peppery, prawns were not the best in quality and pork was cooked too long - instead of a succulent meat you get tender but slightly dry flesh.
Overall would eat if im in the area despite its shortcomings because the broth balance is good
My friend brought me here for dinner.
For $8, it is consist of the noodle & the soup with all the ingredients.
The noodle is not bad but the soup is nothing much to shout about. The prawn is big and fresh but the broth is just normal.
Overall, I wouldn't come specially for this but when I'm around the vicinity.
Highlight here was definitely the soup, it was ‘prawny’ and umami with a distinct amount of pepper. Prawns were pretty fresh and ribs were tender. We had the dry noodles and while the heat was there, it was a little too oily. Would probably go with the soup version instead next time!
$8.00 was the cost for this savoury noodles.
Brisk queue, default seasoning was already quite awesome, add a little chilli for the kicks.
The same amazing flavours, fresh prawns and alkaline (Kee) yellow noodle. Prices have moved up though and the handsome/friendly chef is not around...
