Check out 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗨𝗫! They are a muslim-owned French & Japanese Restaurant, located at Jalan Besar!

Here is what we tried:
-Wild Mushroom Soup
-Unagi Kabayaki Don
-Duck Leg Confit
-Waffles with Ice Cream
-Lychee Mojito Mocktail
-Peach Mojito Mocktail

Generous portions here! And we love the cozy ambience here!

I admit I wasn't desperate to return. But I'm won over by this off-menu dish. The sauce was done well, in a Malay style. The egg was also cooked beautifully.

#halalfriendly Thai Mookata at $24 per platter (for 2 pax) located inside Jalan Besar Hawker Centre✨

Choose between Standard / Chicken Out / Beef Up Platter for just $24 which comes with assorted marinated meat, your favorite sides like crabmeat, quail eggs etc, vegetables and tanghoon ✨ can also choose between Tom Yum and Chicken Broth 👍

If you are a big eater, enjoy/challenge yourself to their 2 hr All-you-can-Eat Buffet at just $22 per pax (excluding Seafood)😉❤️

personally their value for money HALAL platter mookata is definitely the highlight 👍😁

[Hawker Centre]
[Halal Buffet]

Check out Halal Thai steamboat hidden in the lower deck of this hawker centre. We had buffet option which was priced at S$22 per pax with 2 hours time limit. The buffet did not include seafood items. If the time limit is too stressful for you, there’s also set and ala carte versions available. The menu may looked limited but for the 2 of us we were too full to cover all. Selected chicken broth as the choice of soup base, which was quite savoury on its own. Another option available was Tom Yum. Don’t forget to glaze the griller with beef fat before cooking. Beef tongue was an uncommon item for steamboat but the texture was interesting. The NZ Premium Beef may looked quite fatty before cooking but it simply tasted so yummy on its own.

[Halal Thai Steamboat Buffet]

Check out Halal Thai steamboat hidden in the lower deck of this hawker centre. It’s the first Halal Thai steamboat in Singapore. We had buffet option which was priced at S$22 per pax with 2 hours time limit. If the time limit is too stressful for you, there’s also set and ala carte versions available. The All-you-can-eat buffet menu may looked limited and did not include seafood items but for the 2 of us we were too full to cover all. Although it’s located in the hawker centre, the place was quite cooling with lots of fan around. Selected chicken broth as the choice of soup base, which was quite savoury on its own. Another option available was Tom Yum. Don’t forget to generously coat the skillet with beef fat before cooking. Beef tongue was an uncommon item for steamboat but the texture was interesting. The NZ Premium Beef may looked quite fatty before cooking but it simply tasted so yummy on its own. There’s also 2 types of spicy dips available to go with the food. We visited the outlet on a weekday night and we could see a continuous flow of customers. As we were seated near the stall, it was easy to get refill for broth, gas, and sauce. We ended the meal with instant noodle and beaten egg in the soup. So shiok!

A stall with an attractive menu, in both senses of the word. They also have geprek and green chilli, but I went safer. The smashed chicken was quite good, while the other elements were average.

Really, really tender. Very sticky, very melt in your mouth and I think it's good in its own way. I normally prefer a slightly less sticky more meaty texture but nothing to fault here. However it lacks a bit of beefiness, not sure if it's the quality of beef or the lack of brining

Soup is alright as well. Very generous portion for 10bucks

This is at the coffee shop at 462

Service- to the expectation level of what you’d get in a hawker centre- was prompt & polite by most of the staff, curt by one of them.

Pro-tip: Sit near their stall (#01-08) to replenish the soup & sauces. Even better if you’re near the sink to wash your hands 🙃

I ordered 2 rounds of food & that was enough. Was given an order sheet to fill up at the start, but for the 2nd round I was given a blank sheet of paper to write out my full order (referencing the laminated menu)…

“You’re not gonna order like 10 items, right?”, I was told.

I could’ve. But didn’t feel like it.

Thanks Scale Microinfluencers for the invite.

🍲 2 soup base choices: Chicken/Tom Yum

🚶🏻‍♀️ Soup refills are self-service at the storefront

🌶️ 2 options for sauces: Chilli & garlic soy sauce; also self-service

↙️ Located on the ground floor of Berseh Food Center, which wasn’t overwhelmingly crowded on a Friday night

Thanks Scale Microinfluencers for the invite.

🍴 They have a la carte options, but Scale Microinfluencers had reached out to me on this "promotional" invite where I’d get 50% off their buffet price (U.P. $22/pax)

🥩 Decent variety of meat: Chicken & beef options. Seasoned ones (garlic/teriyaki) were flavour-bombs, & I ordered a mix of plain & seasoned ones for balance

😛 If the Beef Tongue doesn’t sell out for the night - you’re lucky! I love beef tongue so much; not enough places in Singapore serve it

🦐 Seafood options are available on the a la carte menu, but are excluded from buffet menu

Thanks Scale Microinfluencers for the invite.

TIL: "Mookata" loosely translates from Thai to mean 'pork' & 'skillet'… But Sedap Thai is technically a Thai Halal steamboat, so you can’t call it a Mookata joint 🙏🏻

📱 My >24hour-in-advance booking wasn’t registered by whoever mans their WhatsApp system, & that caused some tension when I arrived. The infamous "Chinese guy with a man bun" (go read their Google reviews) rapped on my phone rudely when I showed him my confirmation, instead of using his words to tell me that the SOP is to book only the day of, before 4pm. I mean I assumed "okie" means confirmed. But maybe my English isn't so good ☠️

.. But it worked out fine in the end, in that I was served within the 15-min wait they said I'd have to put up with (since I "didn't have" a booking).

🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not actually sure if reservations are encouraged or mandatory for regular diners

Thanks Scale Microinfluencers for the invite.

Had a wonderful chance to eat at @thaisedap recently, and their halal Thai steamboat is pretty fantastic!

Their buffet option ($22) boasts multiple meat options like chicken and beef and they also have a huge variety of other ingredients such as cheese balls and turkey ham.

1 of their marinated meats that we loved was the teriyaki chicken, which was very tender and well seasoned with a sweet and savoury sauce that is really addictive! Another meat ingredient that we loved is the premium NZ beef cut, which was incredibly fatty and had the natural rich sweetness.

Thank you @thaisedap and @scalemicroinfluencers for the opportunity to have this!
