Had the best time at Hiryu with its Omakase! Chef Andy was so friendly and patient in explaining the dish and their Signature Don is such a highlight! Would recommend :)

I recently dined at Hiryu for their omakase, and it was an unforgettable culinary journey. From the moment I entered, the ambiance set a tranquil tone, perfect for enjoying an intimate dining experience.

The omakase menu was a beautifully curated selection of seasonal ingredients. Highlights included the crabmeat chawanmushi, which was incredibly creamy and infused with delicate flavors, and the tuna belly sushi, perfectly tender and rich. Each dish showcased the chef's expertise and attention to detail.

The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive without being intrusive, enhancing the overall experience. They took the time to explain each dish, which added a personal touch.

Overall, Hiryu offers a remarkable omakase experience that is well worth it for anyone looking to explore high-quality Japanese cuisine. I can’t wait to return!

Nestled in the heart of Singapore, Hiryu offers a remarkable culinary experience that captivates from the moment you step inside. The ambience is a harmonious blend of modern elegance and traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring soft lighting and minimalist decor that create an inviting atmosphere. It’s the perfect backdrop for a meal centered on fresh, high-quality seafood.

My favourite dish was the toro toro sushi, which exemplifies the restaurant's commitment to freshness and flavour. Each piece is expertly crafted, showcasing the melt-in-your-mouth texture of the tuna, complemented by perfectly seasoned rice. The balance of flavours is truly exceptional.

Hiryu prides itself on its extensive selection of sashimi, with fresh cuts imported multiple times a week. This commitment ensures that diners can enjoy different selections on different days, offering a delightful surprise each visit. The sashimi is vibrant and expertly sliced, allowing the natural flavours of the fish to shine.

Another highlight is the seasonal special handroll, which changes regularly to reflect the best ingredients available. It’s a treat for the senses, combining innovative flavours and textures.

Overall, Hiryu is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience and superb Omakase.

Our chef Andy was very friendly and sharp in preparing our dishes. I enjoyed learning more about the dishes from him and watching him prepare our food.

Some of the dishes I liked were the striped jack with spring onion and the uni. I liked the freshness of the spring onion paired with the fresh umami flavour of the fish. The uni had a melt-in-the-mouth texture, which is always a delight.

The dishes were top-notch and the overall experience was very comfortable and peaceful. I would recommend anyone to dine here for a luxurious and gastronomic experience.

Came after hearing good reviews from friends and this place did not disappoint! I had the 8 course set and I loved the variety of fish (they had seabass, tuna, uni, grouper and a few others), and also how pretty and inviting each sushi looked. But the taste!! The sushi is so tender and melts in your mouth. Amazing experience here! Thanks to Chef Andy who made the whole experience personalised and for kindly explaining each dish. Also impressed that they import all their fish from Japan.

I recently had the chance to try out an omakase meal with my wife for an occasion, and it was seriously impressive! It kicked off with this smooth chawanmushi with crab meat topped with some fresh edamame and flowers – simple but delicious.

Then came the sushi. Every piece was super fresh and perfectly crafted. The tuna and uni were the standouts for me – melt-in-your-mouth good. You could really tell the chef put a lot of care into each piece.

The miso soup was the one that tied everything together and filled in any missing gaps and stomach space that I had (if there was any left) light and warm just what was needed after the few courses.

The meal ended with a light, refreshing jelly dessert that wasn’t too sweet but a perfect way to finish off the evening.

Overall, the whole experience was top-notch, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re into sushi and want something special.
