From the Burpple community

We ordered the signature steak, king prawns and fish of the week (applicable for Burpple 1-1). We enjoyed the prawns the most. Steak is medium rare (cannot change), it was good but a bit unevenly cooked. Some slices were super rare. Fish of the week was salmon - felt a bit disappointed bc the cut was so small and salmon is a pretty common fish protein. But overall, fish was cooked well.

We decided to come here bc we really enjoyed the food at BURN. But we felt that the food here wasn’t as fantastic, and palette wise items were quite similar. The protein portion was pretty tiny and the veggies took up half the plate. Plus pricey for the portion size without Burpple ($30-$35 per dish).

Explore Kampung Bahru and hit up this diner for flavoursome Mediterranean cuisine. As the name suggests, this is Singapore’s first restaurant to cook with an open Firepit! At just $20 per pizza, indulge in their Margherita ($20), Hawaiian Pulled Pork ($20), Sausage & Potatoes ($20) and Classic Chicken Supreme ($20) to share with your family and friends. Don't miss out on their Signature Steak ($34) with dry-age ribeye served medium rare with burrata tomato salad and creamy avo salsa, as well as the Mildura Lamb Cutlet ($36) with tender juicy, creamy hummus and refreshing quinoa avo salad!

Delicious food here! It was so good that the plate was wipe down clean, love the tenderness of the meat and the sauce paired with this beauty. Apart from this Rib of Fire, there were many other stunning dishes worthwhile. Not to mention, happy hour on drinks! 😊

Though not something I would usually go for as I don’t really fancy olives and anchovies on pizza, the Capricosa ($26) was a pleasant umami surprise. The small bursts of saltiness from the briny anchovies and greek kalamata olives strewn on the melted mozzarella-covered dough were good. Perfect for fans of anchovies and those looking for a change from their usual pizza order. Decorated with shaved leg ham, the spotted wood-fired pizza crust also held a nice smokey flavour and delivered lovely crusty-chewy bites.

A lovely sharing plate, the Charcoal Octopus ($36) had none of the tough rubberiness that you get with overcooked seafood. And besides boasting a spot-on firm-tender bite, the natural sweetness and moisture of the octopus were locked inside the beautifully charred and smokey exterior. The accompanying kale greek salad and avo salsa being solid back-ups as they supplied that refreshing quality to the charming dish.

Swooning over the flavour pairing, I really enjoyed their Signature Steak ($34) served on creamy avocado salsa. Done to a pretty pink medium-rare, the dry-age ribeye was hearty and nicely seasoned - prepared in a way that allowed the natural flavours of the protein to shine. Even though it is not the most tender of cuts, the juiciness of the meat really came through and went swimmingly with the cool burrata-tomato salad. The cheese and tangy salsa countering the heaviness of the ribeye.
