Haven’t had a gourmet sandwich for quite sometime. Roasted German grain loaf sandwich with roast chicken, beef pepperoni, feta cheese, salad leaves and tapenade. I love it when the bread is crusty on the outside and soft fluffy inside. It’s quite a decent sandwich but wish there where more dressing. RM21.90 per serving.
Replacing Decadent’s previous spot is a new deli by Atlas group that serves gourmet salads, hot food, sandwiches, freshly baked pastries, cakes and artisan bread loafs.
The chicken cooked in percik sauce serves with butterfly pea rice(rice of your choice) is perfect for a quick lunch. Huge serving of chicken thigh marinated in loads of Malay spices comes with a bed of fragrantly cooked rice with herbs and desiccated coconut. I love the nicely seasoned herb rice. RM17.90 per portion. Latté RM8 per glass.
Creamy risotto cooked with truffle paste topped with 5 kinds of sautéed mushrooms (Swiss brown, Portobello, Shimeji, King oysters & Shiitake). The risotto was quite bland and the truffle taste wasn’t prominent. RM52 per serving.
Fish n chips might not be the dish one might choose to order here but surprisingly it was well executed. Lightly battered catch of the day (haddock) served with housemade tartar sauce, thick hand cut fries and vinaigrette salad. The fish was fresh and the batter was crispy yet not oily. RM45 per dish.
From Grain-Fed Fillet Minions (RM31.90/100g) to Kyushu A5 Striploins (RM129/100g) and classic cuts like Flank Steak (RM11.90/100g), this gourmet market has it all. Opt to bring your cuts home, or top up RM15 to let the cooks grill your meat on the spot. We suggest going with the latter to enjoy your prime cut with a simple rub and excellent execution. Every portion comes with gravy, a side salad, and some salt – sprinkle a pinch of it over your steak for extra oomph.

Atlas has a great range of meats to satisfy any steak lover, and they’re not very pricey either. The New York strip goes for RM22.90 per 100g and despite the small selection of cuts for each meat, you can still get a small one for a good price. There’s a RM15 cooking fee if you dine-in and your steak comes with a side salad and a sauce. I asked for a medium rare and it was cooked perfectly; lovely sears on the meat and still pink in the middle.
