One of the OG claypot prawn stores, tucked away in a quiet industrial estate near Republic Poly. Dropped by on a Tue night and there were just a few tables filled, mostly having the prawn claypot. The base claypot costs $32.80 and comes with 12 big prawns. Though the broth wasn't as rich as Hae!'s, I think it is the more balanced out of the two and would not result in the 'jelak' feeling even towards the end of the meal. We also opted for a few other side dishes to add to the claypot - wouldn't say that the price is cheap, but overall the meal was still affordable considering you get free flow of various dipping sauces, unlimited refills of the soup, and even plastic gloves. Also, the toilet was surprisingly decent. Parking is also free!

We highly recommend getting your greens intake with their Fresh and cleanly prepared, the vegetables were the stars at absorbing the essence of the broth. You can round up your meal with instant noodles, vermicelli, or rice because it only gets better with carbs hehe. There was also a plethora of sauces to choose from, with their homemade chilli sauce standing out for us!

We are sure youโ€™ve seen the VIRAL claypot prawns hotpot going around on social media, and we just had to give it a try at @woodlandsclaypotprawn ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ

The ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ป ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต ($๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฎ.๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ) gets you 12 plump and juicy fresh prawns along with a flavourful and peppery broth. You can spruce up your meal with a plethora of classic hotpot side dishes too!

We couldnโ€™t pass on their ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐˜‚ ๐—ฃ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ ($๐Ÿด. If youโ€™re here with a group, you can top up with 5 ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ป๐˜€ ($๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ.๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ).

Can't manage a whole pot of stuff? Just get their Hokkien Mee ($8.80). Confirm plus chop, you will not be disappointed if you like wet-style Hokkien mee. The Hokkien mee is full of wok hei, comes with three fat and juicy prawns, an abundance of fatty pork, chewy sotong, crispy pork lard, and a raw egg for moonlight effect. The chilli provided is damn shiok, hot, and spicy enough to evoke your senses without making you sweat. The slurpy noodles are handled properly, leaving little trace of alkaline taste, and they really absorb the stock well.

SGโ€™s First Ever Charcoal Claypot Prawn awaits you! With its Speciality Prawn Broth ($32.80) which comes with at least 12 huge, fresh, and bouncy prawns, you'll love every bite. Enjoy sucking the tomalley from its head and savouring the tender flesh after peeling. Every part of the prawn is a treat. Only scare you not enough prawns to eat.

But don't worry, you can order more prawns or other ingredients to throw into that rich, oceanic, sweet, and umami prawn broth. Guaranteed, whatever you put inside the soup, each ingredient will absorb the prawn broth essence fantastically. We tried Crab Nuggets ($8.80), Fish Roe Fortune Bags ($10.80), Hokkaido Scallops ($10.80), Prawn Filling Dumplings ($6.80), Prawn Paste ($10.80), Snow Crab ($8.80), Toman Fish Slices ($6.80), Australian Beef Slices ($10.80), Shabu Pork ($8.80), and Smoked Duck ($8.80). Each turned out to be incredibly flavourful, soaking up the prawn broth to the extreme. The portions are generous for each dish. Running out of soup? No worries, they have a prawn broth refilling station, so go all out and drink till you drop. Want more taste? Head to the sauce and condiments station. It's free flow, and they even provide Nacho Cheese sauce. Definitely a win!
