White Feathers is a diner hidden away in Goldhill Centre, hence a short walk would be needed to get there from Velocity. As we visited for lunch on a weekday, there were various lunch sets available! Most of them were fusion dishes (e.g. mentaiko pasta) but we decided to get something local - the curry kway teow! Note that this was also the cheapest item on the lunch menu, at around $9++
The dish was surprisingly good as the curry was flavourful but not too concentrated, hence the broth was drinkable to some extent! The kway teow was served alongside braised chicken and char siew that was really yummy (and fatty) too! It was quite a steal for the price.
The eatery wasn't very crowded and there wasn't much of a lunch crowd, but this means it's quite a decent place if you wanna sit down and have a conversation over lunch!
Environment is cosy, love the warm lighting, the pretty walls and feather arts which gives a minimalist vibe. The staff are friendly and approachable ๐
Here is what I tried:
๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ค๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ค๐๐ง ($๐๐)
Whole spring chicken stuffed with risotto and hazelnut, well seasoned, it gives a smoked flavour and the chicken is tender! ๐
However, hazelnut taste in the risotto is alittle overpowering, for those who love hazelnut will definitely like this dish. ๐
๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐๐ง๐ ($๐๐)
Aubergine layered with home made tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
I donโt really love aubergine but when I tried this, It changes my view on aubergine! It is sweet and silky,
I love the tomato sauce but will be better if it is sour alittle ๐คค
๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐
๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ ($๐๐)
Shoestring fries with white truffle oil and parmesan cheese!
My love for truffle fries ๐
After taking photos for quite sometime, surprisingly the fries didnโt turn soggy ? ๐ฑ The truffle oil and cheese on the fries is generous, and this is legit truffle fries ๐๐
๐ฐ๐๐๐ง๐๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฎ ($๐)
There is always room for desserts๐ฅฐ
House made traditional Italian tiramisu with Disaronno ameretto liquor.
I love the coffee smell๐ Liquor taste is not strong, more towards the sweet side, alittle cloying in the mouth, but itโs a good dessert to end the meal with ๐
MENTAIKO & POTATO PIZZA ($16)
With a crust only thin enough to be an appetiser, this doesnโt really represent what a โthin-crusted pizzaโ should look like.
If praise had to be given, the blankets of mentaiko (barely) hiding the seemingly oxidised potato slices werenโt too creamy nor โfishyโ.
Iโd say the odd chemistry of these elements somehow worked but was hard-carried by this pop of colour.
Their ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ช ๐ฟ๐ค๐ฃ (~$32) was a tad dry and could do with more yakiniku sauce, but the addition of garlic chips played well in this.

Another main I liked was the thin crust ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ (~$18), where the oily fatty Unagi melted in my mouth as if on demand. ๐

Reserved the first picture for their ๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐๐จ๐ช (~$8), which Iโm so thankful the staff reccoed me, bc Iโm choosey when it comes to Tiramisu, and this was sOLID stuff. ๐
