Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
Loved dining here with a great view of Singapore's night skyline, having been lucky enough to score prime seats right by the river. Unfortunately, service wasn't very attentive - perhaps because we were so near the waters, kind of down a step (& I am a small human), so it was difficult to see us?
Ordered a pasta & pizza to share, & it was plenty to keep us full:
The Orecchiette Salsiccia e Porcini ($31++) had an al dente chew to it, & I enjoyed the meatiness of the pork sausage ragout with the earthiness of the
porcini mushrooms. I'd definitely order this again.
The Zucchine e Gamberi ($32+) pizza fared well too, with juicy tiger prawns, san marzano tomatoes & zucchini for freshness, & lots of mozzarella cheese.
The drinks menu here, while fairly standard, seems reliable & are at pretty ordinary prices for Singapore. Peroni beer in tap goes for $16++/pint.
They have a Signature Cocktails menu - so I chose the Barrel Aged Chocolate Negroni ($22++) as it was the most interesting-sounding one... Unfortunately to my disappointment, it was poured from a bottle (lol I think I need to calibrate my expectations) & it also wasn't that amazing. Maybe a glass of wine, next time.

Appetiser of Cozze alla Tarantina (mussels in tomato broth, 24++). Very light broth, reminiscent of summer. Bag a table next to the river and relax over a glass of wine. Good value if you can use a voucher or eatigo discount. The home made ravioli is tasty, and decent pizzas on the menu.
They have a set dinner menu ($58) comprising of a Burrata and Parma as starter. Seafood spaghetti as second course. and grilled ribeye as the third course. Finishing off with a tiramisu.
Itās really value for money as even though itās part of a set dinner the portions are not small.
Since there were two of us we decided to get one set meal, one pizza and one calamari to share.
All the dishes we had were well executed apart from the calamari which was pretty average imo.
Total bill including a 30% discount from eatigo was $140 (including two glasses of wine)
Pretty much hooked on this dessert the moment I saw the ingredient forest berries sauce. Sauce was tart and a good balance to the slightly sweet vanilla-flavoured pannacotta. The pannacotta texture is firm but still light in the mouth. Really glad we chose this to end our meal on a refreshing note.
Using 3 types of cheese ā Fontina Cheese, Gorgonzola Cheese and Provolone Cheese, Ai Formaggi is a pleaser to cheese fanatics like me. Le bf didnāt really fancy the slightly pungent Gorgonzola cheese and smothered those found on his slices on mine. While the pizza base is sufficiently thin and chewy, I prefer a more airy dough and base. Nonetheless, still a pretty good pizza thatās good for sharing.
The four juicy tiger prawns might steal our eyes at first, but what stole my heart was the al dente eggy tagliatelle. Each strand is thoroughly coated in squid ink, with bits of garlic to add some pungent kicks to the briny base flavour. Couldāve done it without the zucchine, but still a well-executed dish.
