Went to VeganBurg last month and had the Mini meal (slider, fries, cranberry juice) and it was $9.90!😇 Overall ratings 8/10! To my surprise, the soy patty was actually quite good, and the fries were crispy😄 It also comes with 2 pieces of broccoli which was very well seasoned! Will definitely be back one day👍🏻

100% plant-based burgers from @veganburgsg!

Featured here are the following burgers:

🐥Hainanese Chickenless Burger: This is a limited edition burger in celebration of Singapore National Day! It will be available from 28 Jul 2022! Lots of flavourful chicken rice chilli sauce in this, with meatless chicken patty, cucumber slices, tomato slices and lettuce!

🦀Chilli Krab Burger: Another local delight flavour! This features a crispy plant-protein “crabmeat” patty where the interior really resembled that of soft meaty crabmeat! Comes with lettuce and chilli crab sauce and sandwiched in a wholemeal fluffy bun!

Add $3.90 to complete each meal and you get a side (seaweed fries or broccoli) and a drink (original lemonade / cranberry lemonade / ginger lemonade)! Shout out to the seaweed fires as it was so good! Crispy thick cut fries are the best!

Plant-based burger joint VeganBurg has recently brought back their Rasa Sayang Burger ($14.90) just in time for Hari Raya! I tried it recently it’s really sedap! It’s an entirely vegan burger with mycoprotein patty, vegan sunny side up egg, kampong sambal, caramelised onions, lettuce, cucumbers and garlic aioli in between whole wheat buns. I thought the combination of these ingredients all worked pretty well, but it’s the sweet and spicy sambal that elevated the burger from good to shiok!

I also upgraded my meal to a set (top up $6.90) with the Coconut Fries and Rose Bandung. The coconut fries were not bad (comes with coconut shavings and vegan mayonnaise), but the rose bandung was a little too sweet for my liking.

- Creamy Shrooms🍔
- Seaweed Fries🍟
- Cranberry Lemonade🥤

The burger was nice, the patty tasted like real meat/chicken patty, the creamy sauce with sliced button mushrooms & fresh lettuce, goes really well together with the patty. One more point to add was that the bun was soft & fluffy, yummy!

Seaweed fries, thicker cut like MosBurger’s, seaweed seasoning was a bit pathetic, couldn’t really taste the difference as compared to normal fries (just less salty maybe).

Cranberry lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet, with a hint of sourness, nice~

Damage: $14.80

Spice up your Chinese New Year 🧧 with Veganburg's new Mala Fortune Burg! 🍔 Packed with a grilled soy patty, farm-fresh veggies 🥬, dried chili 🌶, roasted peanuts 🥜 & finally topped with an authentic mala sauce, every bite was absolutely flavourful! The spice level is moderate, pretty shiok! 😋
.
Complete the meal with their seasonal sides - the crispy Golden Tots 🥔 & refreshing Yuzu Lemonade 🍋. Enjoyed them too!

We are back to VeganBurg to try their other vegan burgers and today, we decided to try out the smoky BBQ burger! Instead of a meat patty, the eatery used a mushroom patty for this one and you can really taste the mushrooms in it! It was also nice that VeganBurg provided a generous serving of BBQ sauce, although we felt they could have gone easier on the sauce as it was literally dripping out of the burger, which made it harder to eat.

The seaweed fries, on the other hand, were pretty disappointing as they tasted like regular fries (the harder and firmer type) and there was almost zero hint of seaweed on it. If we had a choice, we wouldn't have upgraded to a meal (~$16) and stuck with the a la carte burger order. Serving size of the fries, however, was pretty generous.

Despite being dairy free, the sauce was creamy enough. We also liked that the sauce was slightly peppery. Topped with button mushrooms and a crispy patty, we see why its an easy favourite for most. A must order for mushroom lovers. Serving size was ok for the price.

The chilli krab burger doesn't scream vegan in any way — and I mean it in a good way as a non-vegan. It tastes just like a fried crab patty with chilli sauce in the burger. I was expecting the chilli sauce to be more like the chilli crab sauce, but it really was just a slight spicy-sweet sauce. What this burger really felt was healthy, unlike all the other non-vegan burgers I eat — greasy and oily. A good healthy alternative for those who want to try vegan food for themselves or those who are craving healthier burger options!

Mushroom pop ($5.90)
This side is also worth a try! The mushrooms within are really juicy, and they are coated with a very crispy batter. One of my favourites here.

White Truffle fries ($5.90)
I was actually impressed by their fries. Didn't expect it to have such a strong truffle flavour, as well as being really thick and crispy.

Chilli Crab Burger ($11.90)
This burger had sauce that was pretty similar to your usual chilli crab sauce, and the patty, if I didn't know, does have a bite quite similar to fish. It's also decently spicy, which makes the burger an enjoyable one as well.

Satay burger ($11.90)
You'll first be hit by the peanut satay sauce, and next you get the juiciness from the pineapple, cucumber, and flavours from the onions. As a fan of satay sauce, this was definitely a yes for me. Sadly I wasn't a fan of pineapples so I removed them subsequently, but ngl the pineapple does help to make your entire burger more moist, although it's still good without it. For this burger, it's actually quite obvious mock meat was used instead of actual meat, because of the texture of the patty.

Tasty as usual. Everything is tasty I love the coconut fries alot. Adds a subtle sweet and fragrance to the usual mayo taste. The burger isn't hot though. Would how loved it so much more its just hot but its diffeerent. I think the burger station have to wait for the fries to be ready. Because the fries is piping hot.

The vegan version of nasi lemak burger! With Quorn mycoprotein patty, vegan egg, caramelised onions, cucumbers, vegan aioli and a generous amount of sambal chilli, this burger is flavour packed. A seasonal special, this is a must try!

Tried the chilli crab burger after hearing many positive reviews about this item at VeganBurg! Indeed, the chilli crab sauce was great and tasted really like what you would get at any seafood restaurant, although the restaurant may have used quite a bit of chilli padi to make the paste, rendering the sauce on the slightly spicier side. The patty was made from konjac, and it was a lot more firm than I had thought it would be! The burger also included romaine lettuce and coriander, although I thought the latter didn't pair too well with the chilli crab sauce! Overall, I would go back here just for the sauce!

The seaweed fries on the other hand, were disappointing. The fries were served with a miserable portion of seaweed flakes that I think you would be better off getting the burger and adding on seaweed shaker fries from MacDonalds. The only good thing about the fries was that the serving was much larger than I initially expected...

Somehow I just love the taste of their shroom burger. Accompanied with an indulgent mushroom pops. 😋

If you don’t eat meat, this is a great place and the Avocado Beetroot Burger is delicious. They do delivery - via Grab. Check it out and pair with fries and a drink.

I know VeganBurg’s been around since before plant-based diets were a thing, but well shame on me I’ve never made the trip down before 🥲 So recently I popped by and grabbed their Smoky BBQ burger with an impossible patty and additional vegan cheese, wondering how it’d compare to all the other plant-based burgers out there. Suffice to say, it’s not quite my thing. The buns were mediocre at best, not very fluffy not very tasty very much like off-the-shelves sorta burger buns; the veggies were crisp and fresh but yeah just veggies; there was way too much mayo in there; and idk the patty didn’t wow me as much as others I’ve tried. Sure it wasn’t a terrible burger, but after all the extra add-ins the price exceeded that of other more satisfactory impossible burgers I’ve tried elsewhere. Perhaps their original burgers (sans all my add-ons and incessant meddling) would be a lot tastier, or I should’ve gone for a different burger, but with the many alternatives around now I doubt I’d make a return trip anytime soon.

Impressions:
The chilli crab sauce was on point, sufficiently spicy and not too syrupy sweet -- pretty good for a sauce from a fast food joint. Lot's of greens help to add to the texture while the stalk of coriander lends a nice herb-y touch.

The style of buns used here is on the dense side and it's started to feel rather heavy halfway through the burger.

The taste of the "crab" patty is decent, not much flavour of crab. Texture-wise, it reminds me of sotong balls. If not for the crunchy exterior, it would be rather one dimensional experience.
