Beigelhaus++ is a newly opened Muslim-owned bagel joint in the CBD.
We tried a couple of their signature bagels - The Corned Cow ($14) and The Pink Loxy ($16). The bagels had a really nice chewy texture and are all freshly made in-house (including the ingredients too)! Flavour-wise we preferred The Corned Cow, as we thought the ingredients (corned beef brisket, gherkins & yellow mustard) worked harmoniously well together. The Pink Loxy was not bad, but wouldāve preferred if the cured salmon were sliced thinner. We also tried their Kombu Butter Schmear Bagel ($6), and this was really shiok! The kombu butter spread was so fragrant and such a flavour bomb!
They will be adding some new bagels & beverages to their menu from 6 May 2022 onwards. We got a sneak preview of a couple of new beverages - Sour Burst and The Passion ($5.50 each). Both are really refreshing, but I enjoyed the Sour Burst more!

Plant-based burger joint VeganBurg has recently brought back their Rasa Sayang Burger ($14.90) just in time for Hari Raya! I tried it recently itās really sedap! Itās an entirely vegan burger with mycoprotein patty, vegan sunny side up egg, kampong sambal, caramelised onions, lettuce, cucumbers and garlic aioli in between whole wheat buns. I thought the combination of these ingredients all worked pretty well, but itās the sweet and spicy sambal that elevated the burger from good to shiok!
I also upgraded my meal to a set (top up $6.90) with the Coconut Fries and Rose Bandung. The coconut fries were not bad (comes with coconut shavings and vegan mayonnaise), but the rose bandung was a little too sweet for my liking.

My family and I recently feasted on the food from On & On Diners at home, where we had dishes from their customisable Timeless Traditions menu which includes:
~Yam Basket w/ Szechuan Gongbao Chicken
~White Pepper Clams
~Truffle Popcorn Chicken w/ Truffle Mayo
~Braised Lion Head Meatballs in Ma Po Gravy
~Prawn Paste Wings
~Japanese Sakura Shrimp Garlic Fried Rice w/ Smoked Duck
~Teochew Style La La Cai Poh Hor Fun
~Chilled Osmanthus Ai Yu Jelly
I must say that although none of the dishes really wowed us in particular, they were all pretty well-executed in general and made for a rather enjoyable meal! Some favourites among us are the Yam Basket w/ Szechuan Gongbao Chicken, White Pepper Clams and the 2 carbs - Japanese Sakura Shrimp Garlic Fried Rice w/ Smoked Duck and Teochew Style La La Cai Poh Hor Fun!
This set menu is entirely customisable, with 34 dishes in total to choose from, so youāll certainly be spoiled for choice. Thereās also complimentary Truffle Popcorn Chicken w/ Truffle Mayo that comes in each order of this set.
By the way, On & On Diners is also halal-certified, so if you are looking to break fast with zichar this period, this would be an ideal choice to share with your family. They also have an Iftar Mini Buffet available currently.

Looking for a place to break fast or just a good place to satisfy your nasi padang cravings? Check out Campur Nasi Padang, a newly opened nasi padang joint located at Djitsun Mall Bedok that serves Eurasian dishes on top of your regular nasi padang staples!
The Eurasian dishes that we tried include Green Chilli Prawns, Devilās Curry, and Chuan Chuan Fish. Love the fragrance of the Green Chilli Prawns, which was really piquant, and also the Chuan Chuan Fish which was nicely flaky! Some of their other Eurasian specials include Chilli Lamb and Chilli Beef too. *Do note that selected Eurasian dishes will be featured daily, but more will be available on weekends and you can get updates on their menu on IG (@campur.sg) weekly.
We also enjoyed other nasi padang staple dishes like Sayur Lodeh, Ayam Lemak Cili Padi, Sambal Goreng & Beef Rendang! Love the Beef Rendang, which although wasnāt the most tender, had a nice flavourful bite to it, as well as the savoury Ayam Lemak Cili Padi. We also ended the meal off with a couple of desserts - Pulut Hitam and Bubur Cha Cha, which were pretty good respectively!
Overall, pretty sedap!
