This dish featured deep-fried seaweed tacos that were loaded and glistening with juices from the beef. We loved the idea of a seaweed taco because of the salty umami flavours that made it stand out from the usual. The tacos were crispy and crunchy (though it did get greasy a few bites in), and the wagyu beef was SO juicy. The cheddar, relish, onions, and secret sauce all came together like the fillings of a darn good burger!

The idea of lobster salad on top of fries was intriguing and we decided to gice it a try! The lobster salad was creamy, delightful, and refreshing - it was an apt contrast to the crispy starchy twister fries. There were chunks of lobster mixed in a mentaiko salad sauce which was not jelat at all.

We love Tanuki Rawโ€™s sashimi and rice bowls, and love how theyโ€™ve expanded their menu to include more items over the years. Deep-fried seaweed tacos was a first for us but definitely would not be our last!

Haven't been to @tanukiraw in a while, and I am glad to mention that the quality is still really good ๐Ÿ˜

I love it that their lunch sets are also available during the weekends, and I got a Salmon Kaisen Don ($14.90) with a $3 top-up for miso soup, salad and a hot green tea. There was a generous amount of salmon slices of different varieties such as aburi, mentaiko and seasoned mayo. The salmon slices were fresh and fatty, which goes very well with their seasoned rice, which had a good amount of vinegar and sesame seeds. To top it off, the ikura gave the satisfying savoury pop which added more umami flavours to the dish. This is one fulfilling bowl!

If you like heavy flavours, the Hamburguesa Loco ($14) is for you. Imagine 2 thick, juicy, smoky wagyu patties on top of a unique seaweed taco shell, topped with cheese and mayo. This is a flavour bomb, with beef juices and flavour coming through really strongly. One was rich enough for me so this is good to share between 2!

Thank you for inviting @tanukiraw, I definitely will see myself coming back for more!

Excellent food. Great place to celebrate birthdays (see birthday promotion on website). We were served by Janelle who gave her best smile and attentive service and did her best to meet our requests.

Wrapping up our joyful adventure with this snow crab bao dish, our whole perception about Japanese fusion food has been transformed. The highlight is a lightly crispy well cooked Bao. It is a texture play when combining with softy snow crab. Before you realize you eat so much greens, the whole bao is gone! ๐Ÿ˜† We know that we would definitely come back for some more...๐Ÿ˜š๐Ÿ€

Perfect for 2 sharing persons, this Futo sushi (futomaki) type doesn't dissappoint us. Just one pop gives us a mouthful of creamy cubed salmon sashimi tossed in mentaiko. The crispy sesame & shiro negi (Japanese long green onion) are hard to miss as they pile on top of these 2 twinnies portrudingly.๐Ÿคฉ
