This roasted meat stall is located at this coffee shop under Blk 132 Jalan Bukit Merah, which is very easily missed considering there’s so many food options around this neighbourhood.

There’s want much people here and I would say it is almost empty even on weekend lunch time. Only the regulars usually come here to grab their meal.

I been here many years ago for the old school char kway teow and found out about this stall that time. So I decided to grab my meal from this stall after recalling my plan and was around this area.

The portion is surprisingly generous for the price I paid here, and I even added the braised egg and braised beancurd; which total only cost me $5. Which is consider rare for now.

Their char siew and roasted meat was prepared well and tasty. Soup is available complimentary and you just need to help yourself with a bowl of it at the front of the stall.

This Chicken rice stall used to open shop on a bridge at Shenton way, a frequent lunch place for my wife who used to work at SGX 10 years ago.

Now Located at a rather ulu place along Bukit Merah, and food as usual still very cheap and affordable here.

Chicken was soft and tender and was rather good. Char siew tasted very old school, like those that bbq with those red dyed old school sauce.

This stall has been an institution since its days at Shenton Way Golden Bridge. Unfortunately, it’s current location is much less accessible. But the food is still cheap and good!

Roast chicken drumstick (comes with thigh meat as well), braised egg and their unique sauce on rice that is fragrant and not too oily. Only $4.

Glad I had this just before the export ban on Malaysia’s live chickens come into force tomorrow.

At this roast stall, ordering horfun means a full zichar-style horfun. Both the horfun and pork were decent. A good reason for eating here is really such a combination.
