Tucked away in the East, Seng House blends heritage and modern flavors in a cozy cafe setting.
The standout is their signature Claypot Chicken Rice, ingeniously served to create crispy bits at the bottom. Its aromatic rice will have you going back for more. Another crowd favorite is the Wat Dan Hor, packed with wok hei and topped with unique fried squid tentacles.
For Western classics, the British Fish & Chips is generously portioned, while the Traditional Italian Carbonara, made with guanciale and pecorino romano, stays true to its roots. Don’t miss the comforting sides, including Crabmeat Carrot Cake, Mac and Cheese, and Fried Buttermilk Mid-Wings—perfect for sharing!
Hainanese chicken was good with a special sweet sour-ish sauce. The fried squid was amazing as well as the smoke salmon. Overall, pretty decent meal. Acai was slightly below average and they put the peanut butter as a chunk in the side which was a bit troublesome to eat with the acai. Would prefer it to be drizzled over the acai
Really like this cosy little spot in Tanjong Katong! Had lunch here on a cooling weekday so we enjoyed the al fresco setting :)
We tried the Black Sea Pappardelle, Double Bacon Smash Burger, Crabmeat Carrot Cake, along with a hot latte and the Secret White Cold Brew! We really enjoyed the food and would definitely be back to try the other food offerings!
Generous amount of sauce (was one of the best sauce i’ve ever tasted) + the bread was perfectly toasted, and topped with melted cheese.
Generous serving of salad as well!! amazing!
I stopped by for lunch and got the Big Breakfast Bash, which lives up to its name with an impressive portion size. The juicy mushrooms were incredible, and the in-house baked beans were a real highlight—sweet, tangy, and very slightly spicy.
To top it off, I had the iced white, which was smooth, creamy, and refreshing. The outdoor seating adds a relaxed vibe, perfect for a sunny morning. It’s a spot where you can enjoy great food, good coffee, and a tranquil atmosphere all at once.
Very good cafe food, better than most trendy cafes. Cozy ambience too. The food was freshly made, from the fries, cutlet to the tomato. I love the crispy breading of the hainanese pork chop with soft meat- amazing how thick the cut was! It's impressive that they could make something as simple as tomato taste unique and delicious. It was sweet with just the right amount of spice. The fries are one of the best I've had, as a thin fries enthusiast, I find the thick fries were still crispy. Big portion size, making it a satisfying brunch.
Never had pandan latte until this, I enjoyed it very much! Not too sweet, with a nice balance of pandan and coffee taste.
