($15) my friend praised me to order right dessert as it's quite not that jelak but it's quite filling tbh. my friend did eat finish half of date pudding even he already feeling full. But date pudding and toffee sauce was quite warm after serving. But date pudding was quite nice, strong aroma in smell & taste and complemented well to eat with toffee sauce. I did enjoy it more than chocolate blackout cake.

($18) I kinda regretted that we didn't eat finish the chocolate blackout cake tbh. :") but its taste jelak until I just give up to eat :"( But overall experience I really grateful that my friend accompanied me to eat ps cafe for dessert. :") but then it's not worth it to order double chocolate bc it's not that great for 2 to 3 people pax. But the chocolate cake and sauce texture were 100% for luxury and also atas feeling that I would not explain further. Do i come back for eating chocolate blackout cake in future? probably not for now.

Grain-fed full blood wagyu steak, cheddar, house sourdough, caramelised onion & raisin relish,
shoestring fries.

Coconut & lemongrass risotto with shrimp. This was a bit too jelat as the coconut was too creamy. The risotto is unlike the usual ones which is drier. This tasted a lot like green curry and personally find that it doesn’t go very well with risotto. I would skip this.

Australian barley fed Angus patty, vintage cheddar, wilted spinach, crispy smoked bacon, tomato & crispy onions, toasted sesame bun with shoestring fries.

Fresh watercress, truffle oil and super creamy mushroom soup. Super filling and yummy, as you can taste the pieces of mushroom.

The cake itself is hardly sweet actl. Abit acidic

Overall it comes tgt, but obv don't trust those who say this is the best ever, it's not even close.

Decent execution

There's only 1 good thing here: the pork

Prawns were the same brine as that found in the aglio. The soup seriously sucks, powdery and tasteless. Lard was tasteless too and the fried pieces were so soggy

Avoid

Tbh the aglio olio itself is a little bit dry and not v flavourful. However the king prawns were seriously good. Very well marinated and carries everything

Overall not bad, if you portion out the prawns properly. And look at the size

Liked their truffles fries from PS. Cafe as they were freshly fried to perfection and the parmesan goes so well together. Can request for less salt on the fries for better taste 🤤

1 January 2023;

$18 for the blackout cake & a scoop of vanilla icecream (wish it was a bigger scoop to eat with the cake) but the chocolate was super thick and the whole plate was drenched with more chocolate. You probably need to down glasses of water as it was too gelat after eating almost half of it… Highly recommend if you have a super sweet tooth. The chocolate was good though and I enjoyed it. Tried once for the experience & taste but probably won’t get it again next time.

However, they take too long to serve the cake as I have to ask them 2-3 times… and took almost 30-45 minutes to serve it which slightly ruined the dining experience for me.

Generous portion of pasta and the bacon. I like the smoked bacon. SGD 26++

The sticky date pudding was good (as usual) but the chai was a huge disappointment! Prana chai is quite a good blend but for some reason this tasted like milk and honey with some spice from the cinnamon stick. If you look at the picture, it’s really light like milk and it basically never got any darker. Such a pity honestly

A cake like date pudding, with rarely seen generous pieces of dates. Now that's really riveting. Toffee sauce was on point too, everything is balanced, and their ice cream is solid.

I don't like PS. Cafe for the preponderance of truffle fries which permeates the entire restaurant. But I have to admit this is a good sticky date pudding

Handpicked blue swimmers, chilli, kaffir, a buttery shortcrust, prawn bisque, lemon-dressed greens & herb pesto. This was definitely underwhelming as the tart was bland. The crab was fresh and was interesting to see how the crab and egg came together. Not something I’ll eat again.

Spaghettini, toasted sesame breadcrumbs & fresh herbs. Extremely well done and flavourful aglio olio. Prawns were extremely fresh and this is definitely one of the best pasta I’ve eaten.

As usual the portions are super generous so we just ordered a pasta and truffles fries for 2 pax. Too full for an after dessert. I love the chillax space and have to give a thumbs up to the staff. They took the initiative to serve the pasta in 2 separate bowls, taking into consideration that our table is small, without us even asking. The portion in the photo is half the original pasta, that’s how big the portion is lol

the oreo ice cream shake was blended wayy too smoothly & the ice cream tasted ‘cheap’. would have preferred more oreos to be blended in too!

Ordered their chicken rossa penne and red pesto rigatoni, not forgetting their truffle fries of course!!!

🍰: Double Chocolate Blackout Cake

The first time I heard of this cake from @pscafe was sometime last year? It somehow reminded me of Hard Rock Cafe’s Mud Pie, in terms of how big & decadent the dessert is! It’s an actual tower of two layers of chocolate cake, that could be 2 slices on its own, and it’s topped with creamy & rich dark chocolate ganache.

I really enjoyed this cake & found myself being unable to put my fork down, despite how incredibly stuffed I was just enjoying this! Personally found the cake and ganache not too sweet, but the chocolate sauce pooled around it was pretty overwhelming! The cake itself was already super rich & the sauce made the dish cloying after a couple of bites. The vanilla ice cream was a big help in mellowing out the rich cocoa flavours though.

I’d say, this is a must try for all chocolate lovers, but be warned that this cake is a meal of its own!
