Baby shrimp crackers, chicken wing, egg. My first time with the crackers. Very interesting albeit basic. It's a paper-thin cracker with hae bi, instead of prawns.

Chicken wing, chicken skin, French beans, egg. I live beside the OG stall and it's my first time trying here. The overall taste was extremely similar to the OG. But I must rant about the chicken skin and French beans joke. At almost $2 the skin's portion looks like it's complimentary, while the French beans had maybe 10 sticks?

We had rather high expectations of Punggol Nasi Lemak given its fame and the price point it commands. However the competition for Nasi Lemak is extremely tough and I have to admit this is not one of the best nasi lemaks around. We will be on the hunt for more, so drop us a note if you have a favourite! Just a thing to note, they close at 11.30pm so don’t expect it to be open for late night supper!

One of the Best fried chicken I ever had, is served here at ponggol nasi lemak. Got consistency, its as good as its main branch at Kovan.

The chilli provided is also good.

To be opened since the 1970s, recipe must be good la, if not how to stay open so long and open branches and franchises, and can remain open is really testament to their craft and recipe.

Nasi lemak with fried chicken wing, otah, long beans and chilli. Fresh and flavorful, the chilli is not too spicy. They have several set meals too but none with both meat and veg. There was quite a queue at lunch time but it moved quickly like McD.

Fixed my Nasi Lemak craving at Ponggol Nasi Lemak. Set 2 ($4.70) comes with one chicken wing, sunny side up, ikan bilis and coconut rice. As usual, the rice is very fluffy and thoroughly infused with the fragrance of coconut milk, and it goes really well with the runny egg, crunchy ikan bilis with peanuts and spicy chilli. The fried chicken wing is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and so delicious.

I added two more sides: brinjal ($1.10) and ngoh hiang ($1.50). The brinjal looks like an unappetising black blob but it’s actually quite soft and tasty. The ngoh hiang is also surprisingly crispy and the minced meat filling is well-seasoned.

This is pretty much everything I need in a good plate of Nasi Lemak - craving satisfied!
