Botak Jones will always be 1 of my favourite western food stall.

And the 1 dish that I will always get is the Cajun Chicken.

With 2 slices of tender juicy breast meats, Topped with cheese and cajun sauce. This is just the complete combination for the chicken breasts.

And their spicy fries also damn shiok, so crunchy, like eating potato chips.

Founded in 2003 by Bernard 'Botak' Allen Utchenik, this casual western chain has made several comebacks from their peak in 2009.
.
Served within fluffy soft buns with bready sweet flavour, their 22 centimetre chicken sausage is snappy and juicy with meaty salty sweet flavour and no fillers.
.
Dressed with crisp white onions with vegetal sweet flavour, and creamy mustard for a sharp spicy sour kick.
.
Or, dressed with chunky minced beef chili with crisp diced white onions, carrying meaty salty savoury vegetal sweet spice flavour.
.
Served with crunchy chilled coleslaw with vegetal milky sweet flavour, and hot crisp cajun spiced potato fries with starchy sweet spice salty flavour.

My Favourite Nostalgic Western Food.

Taste just like it was back in the mid 2000s

Now also avaliable in thigh meats instead of the usual breast. Still taste as good. But I prefer the chicken breast to be honest. Well marinated as usual.

Cajun Fries are great as well, generous servings and every fry is marinated well & flavourful.

Top up a bit of $$$ to upgrade 1 of the sides to my favourite cheesy potatoes. Yums

Huge deep-fried battered fish served with 2 sides (excuse the 2 carbs 😂). The portion is really huge as compared to most Western hawker stalls, but I guess they just compensate for the steep price point

Glad that the breading is not too thick, and the fish is not too greasy as well. Enjoyed their fries a lot (the serving is generous as well)

They have an ongoing promo (buy 2 sets, free 1 set) until end of Oct :) aaaand their Mon-Thur value lunch have this set at $7.50+ only (more at par with other stalls - not sure how the portions are for this promo)

With sides Cajun fries and coleslaw. I'm so disappointed in Botak Jones. I've known them since their Toa Payoh days and wanted to eat again for nostalgia. It's so bad despite the high prices. The chicken might've been marinated, but together with melted mozzarella and Cajun sauce, it's disturbingly flat. The fries too weren't fried the best.

With sides Louisiana chicken gumbo and butter rice. I'm so disappointed in Botak Jones. I've known them since their Toa Payoh days and wanted to eat again for nostalgia. It's so bad despite the high prices. The fish was flat like prata and tasteless. The rice was decent but tasted more coconut than butter. The gumbo was quite good lah. Nice soup and generous chicken.
