we had the opportunity to dine in at Miraku, a brand we heard often from our friends and family.

the course meal was nothing but amazing. i love the part where they introduced the origins of each dish before serving to us. we get to learn alot on the seasonality of each ingredient.

and of course, the taste was fantastic.

After hearing so much about Miraku, I finally had the chance to visit, and the omakase experience was nothing short of spectacular.

Was served with a wide variety of fresh fish, with each piece meticulously crafted to showcase the unique flavors and textures. From the delicate Aodai and chutoro to the rich, flame-torched herring, every bite was a delight. The creamy otoro and briny murasaki uni were standout favorites, melting effortlessly on the palate.

The tasty mini maze don, featuring tuna belly and salmon roe, was accompanied by a comforting bowl of warm white miso soup, adding a cozy finish to the savory courses.

To end the meal, the refreshing and light homemade lychee ice cream served as the perfect finale, beautifully complemented by a calming cup of hojicha tea.

Miraku has been on my must-visit list for quite some time, and my recent omakase experience there truly exceeded my expectations!

The meal began with a refreshing cold appetiser of baby spinach, mushrooms, and anchovies. Followed by a Japanese egg custard with corn purée and clams, which was a lovely introduction to the delightful progression of flavours.

The sushi selection was the highlight of the meal:
1. Aodai (green snapper) and chutoro (medium fatty tuna)
2. Ipoyoii (rainbow snapper) with yuzu kosho
3. Shimaji (amberjack) – its firm texture was simply delightful
4. Zukae akame (lean tuna) with yuzu
5. Sawara (spanish mackerel) – this piece was so tender, it melted in my mouth.
6. Nishin (herring) – this one was flame-torched!
7. Otoro (bluefin tuna) – a classic, my favourite!
8. Murasaki uni (long spike urchin)

Following the sushi, we had a mini maze don featuring tuna belly and salmon roe, and white miso soup.

For dessert, the homemade lychee ice cream was a refreshing finale, perfectly light and sweet. Hojicha tea was served at the end of the meal with the dessert to ensure good digestion.

Chef Steven truly made the experience memorable, taking the time to elaborate on each dish and engage in conversation, making the meal all the more enjoyable. The sushi was exceptional, showcasing fresh ingredients and meticulous preparation.

Hope to come back soon!

Went to Miraku's for dinner and boy, was I taken for a spiritual journey. Every dish served was delightful. Had an absolutely pleasant and wonderful time under the chef's hospitality. 10/10

My time at Miraku was nothing short of amazing. Every dish hit the mark, especially the fatty tuna and uni.

What made the experience so special was the chef - besides preparing our food, he guided us through the entire meal with so much enthusiasm and knowledge. My partner and I learned so much where the ingredients came from, how they were sourced, and even some behind-the-scenes details about the preparation.

This was such a lovely a culinary adventure. Highly recommend Miraku for anyone who loves omakase and is looking for a memorable, personalised dining experience :)!

I recently had dinner at this serene omakase spot, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The elegant interior and gentle music created a calm atmosphere, perfect for savouring each dish.

The meal started with a clean and refreshing salad, which was a great way to open up the palate. Their green tea was wonderfully fragrant and paired beautifully with every course. The Otoro was the star of the night—extremely fatty and buttery, it melted in my mouth–especially when combined with a touch of wasabi and seasoned rice.

An unexpected favourite was the Castella egg. Made with anchovies, it was an intriguing mix of sweet and savoury that worked surprisingly well. Overall, a memorable dining experience that I highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a well-curated and delicious omakase dinner.
