Think polo bun with decadent salted egg custard, oozing out with every bite. Delicious! Even though the golden custard was everywhere (yes we were quite the messy eaters), it was surprisingly smooth and creamy both in taste and texture - not overwhelming in the slightest.

Would recommend to try if you’re around the area. I visited the shop at lunchtime on a weekday and even though there was no queue, there was about a 10 minute wait for them buns to be freshly baked!

Tried their original cream puff some time back (before circuit breaker). I was enticed by the crispy, cookie-like crust. Sadly, it fell short of my expectations. Perhaps it was because I had it at the end of the day, but the crust was soft and "lao hong" already. The milky cream inside was pretty good, but unfortunately not able to redeem the sad soggy puff. Beard Papa over this any day.

Stay home with Kazo Singapore.
The Golden Lava Polo had a crumbly exterior of a polo bun and inside layered like a croissant but with more layers and more air. It was buttery and soft on the inside and had a beautiful caramelised crunch on the outside. The bun are so fully filled with salted egg filling. The saltiness of the custard paired real well with the bun buttery sweetness, and it was a match made in heaven.
Hokkaido Cream Polo was pleasantly light, biting through the crumbly exterior and the croissant layers of this pastry, the cream and puff blend in perfect harmony.

Kazu Kazu. Love the Hokkaido Cream filling most. The exterior had patches of almond crust, which gave each bite an extra crunch. The husk is filled only upon order, leaving the exterior as crisp as possible. Hokkaido milk cream was quite rich yet light and smooth. The cream wasn't overly sweet but had enough sweetness to balance the buttery cookie crust.

Original cheese tart. It's very milky with a strong cheesy taste. The crust is crumbly and the cheese filling is very thick and creamy. It melt in your mouth. Is a cheesy kind of love!

Chocolate Cheese Tart was similarly creamy and had a milky chocolate taste that wasn’t too overwhelming.

Crispy Durian Puff. What I love about the puff is that it comes in bite-sized portion and filled to the brim with real delicious durian filling. The outer crust is crispy, crunchy with light airy interior.

i got the matcha cream puff (pictured) & two of the kazu kazu sticks ($3.50 each) in hokkaido cream and matcha!

both of them were relatively the same — albeit the size —, with the rich cream was encapsulated in a flakey and airy crust.
i wasn’t particularly a fan of the latter, it disintegrated far too quickly in my mouth, and pieces of the kazu started to break apart and i got my fingers covered with cream trying to shove them in my mouth before they fell to the floor :c
i preferred it more the next day, the crust was more chewy and reminiscent of a normal cream puff / stick. it definitely came down to personal preference.
the flavour of the creams wasn’t anything unique, but better off than others in flavour :)

This soft, flaky bun ($3.50) is filled to the brim with thick and milky Hokkaido cream.

The bun itself is really pillowy and delightfully layered, like an Asian version of a croissaint. The cream literally erupts out of the bun with every bite, and is sweet and rich but not overly so. I like how the cream harmoniously balances out the airiness of the pastry.

It's quite big too, but doesn't fill you up too much cause of how airy it is.

Got this Yuan Yang Kazu Kazu in matcha and chocolate filling! The crusty thing is pretty good but the fillings are quite normal 😂 gotta try their Golden Lava Polo next time!
